The more the DNC digs in to the center, the more they alienate the left - which is the groundswell of voters.
You think there are more people on the extreme left of the Democratic base now?

o haiYou think there are more people on the extreme left of the Democratic base now?
o hai
You commie???!!!!!!!
they've driven me thereYou commie???!!!!!!!
Oh hai!
they've driven me there
Was a Commie, will never be one again.
you'd probably get that from socialists who have lived in an exclusively socialist system as well. i honestly don't know what the right system is but its VERY clear that capitalism is not the answer here, or anywhere else. we'll likely end up mixing and matching elements from a few different systems. papa marx is going to get a lot of play in the next few years here. Was a Commie, will never be one again.
WHY!!! No!!!!!!!!
Hard to say. Feels like there might be. Going right over the last decade only cost the GOP a few moderate conservatives / RINOs (like me) and nabbed them a groundswell of grassroots support. You think there are more people on the extreme left of the Democratic base now?
Though I'm actually astounded by the resurgence in Leninism amongst millennials.

Preach.nothing's ever going to change until we get a 3rd party in this country
I like McCain a lot. I wish he had won in 2000. Had 2000 McCain run in 2008, he would have won, I think.I dislike John McCain as much as I hate Maxine Waters. How the fuck do those cock suckers get voted in for years.
Aspects of capitalism can of course be improved, but it is broadly the best system for the United States.Coming from a former socialist/commie, capitalism is the best system there given human nature of greed, selfishness, narcissism, etc. It might not be the perfect system, but it is the best system.
Sad thing is those who vehemently advocate for Marxism/Lennism here have never lived in socialist countries.
Preach..
I think it cost more of us than you realize.Hard to say. Feels like there might be. Going right over the last decade only cost the GOP a few moderate conservatives / RINOs (like me) and nabbed them a groundswell of grassroots support.

I'm coming at things from the other end of the spectrum and agree. I am on the left-libertarian (Dem Confed, libsoc, whatever label you wanna use) and I could not stomach voting for the Dems last election so went third party. If there is one thing lefties dislike nearly as much as fascists, it's probably liberals. I couldn't stomach voting for Hilary as a Lesser of Two Evils candidate. I would happily vote for Jim Webb - not so much our of ideological alignment but just because the dude has character and good intent.
rand paul is a fucking idiot and so is his stupid fucking father. libertarinism has got to be the dumbest political ideology ever cocked up by the assholes in america. If Rand Paul has the guts Ron Paul does, i vote for him every election. Also would vote for the likes of Alan West and Herman Cain.
jim webb? really? he'd have us at war just so he could feed his erection.+ 1

Jim Webb is a raging piece of shit.
Please. I would do libertarinism any day over democratic socialism which is just a cover for socialism.
I would do libertarian socialism any day over ancap, which is usually just a cover for neo-fascism.
To be honest, I think a revolution is needed to gut our current political bodies.

I think we had this conversation years ago, but I'll bite: why do you say that?
I think he honestly believes he is the champion fighting for a post-racial society (I don't see race/ everyone bleeds green in the Marine Corp) , but his recent musings on cotton picking and confed flags show how much he is missing the point.
For all his foreign policy chops, I think he lacks the economics background to not get eaten alive if put in charge of the economy.
But, again, I think he has character and integrity.
Pure libertarianism works in small communities.

With all this talk of hard libertarian and feeding erections, this thread is lit AFAs a former hard libertarian, I disagree.

And take away all the structure that actually protects you from people of power and ability? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like the result.
was referring to the excessive amounts of bureaucracies.
So was doghouse
