Yeah the cloth in mine is fairly thick, with a wet hand like a flannel and would make you think it has some cashmere in it. But its 100% wool - I suspect fine lambs wool. Too thick for a suit IMO but wonderfully soft. I can never capture it on a pic but the coat has a black & white ground = grey with a broad brown line through it at a few points.

I nourish them pretty regularly but I agree that they look particularly faded in that washed-out bathroom lighting.

this morning i looked at my calendar on my phone and was all like "hey man, you dont have any meetings today...why dont you spray your sprezzzzzz around like a male hyena and wear your herringbone jacket with the missing button?" so i did.

then i got to the office and realized that office365 had a syncing problem and i did indeed have a meeting today. and then i was like "shit."

Those merino New Zealand wool fabrics are great, indeed a lot softer and more refined than the Scottish alternatives, which are equally good, but different vibes.

Could you elaborate on who sports them? And where do they stand on the canniness spectrum?

The Brit has to be careful when donning a rig composed of Blazer / V-neck / tie / grey trou because of the school uniform associations.

This is why I never understood certain elements of the Brit Ivy League Fanatics Association admiration for it.

I pretty much always wear a Blazer sans tie, and preferably with a FU check shirt or polo shirt...

Watch by noted Australian watch makers Rivers - one of the worlds pre-eminent manufacturers of watches with access to the worlds leading experts. Don't believe me, get your paws on one of the catalogues they release before an auction. They're collectable in their own right. It is impossible to copy a watch of that complexity in the time scale allowed by the watches respective market entry. This would be difficult to do even now with modern CADCAM and rapid prototyping techniques. Actually, this was released in 2010 but had its official unavailing at the then equivalent of Basel in 2011. It falls into the throwaway range and throwaway quality. A canny buy. This watch says you can easily be bought - but what would be the point.

They are both too high and too rounded/almost pointy
But their fit is good and they are very comfortable
Something of high importance to people of my age
