What's Making You Happy Today?

Why do you keep portraying me as another Jeffrey Epstein?

I’m sorry for that. You are no where near Epstein level. You don’t have others grooming your prey yet.

or maybe that is why you are lamenting the retirements or your network of barkeeps?

They're all 30 plus now. Some even got married. I am lamenting because I don't fancy investing that much time and liver effort to build relationships with the next generation.

Sadly I am not like others in this forum where I make enough money to buy service, attention and loyalty.

Is this the Insurance Salesman’s View of Love?

Carnal love? Money can buy that. Dangle it in front of most people in service and they will crawl, scratch, bow and bend over to give you attention.

To be quite honest, I strongly believe 80% of couples would separate and divorce if one of them said I'm going to pursue some vocation that generates no income and I'll end up being a leech that continues to suck away what material resources you are able to acquire in yours.

A bunch of university students told to stop disrupting the staff and behave like everyday people or else they will be arrested, locked up and given the boot from school. Good old fashioned discipline. The kids try to worm there way out of it so they can reek havoc, but the staff are having none of it.

I saw Anastasia - the musical. I was a bit perturbed at how little knowledge of Russian the writers possessed. Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova would not introduce herself as Romanov. That's for men. Women add an a at the end. Also they called her Anya. I'm pretty sure Anya is the short/diminutive form of Anna. Nastia is the short form for Anastasia.

Great costume and set design though.

I made tachin morgh. It took me four plus hours but I did it!

I'm finally losing weight. I can button and fit in some of the tighter 36 jackets.

36!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

My company did a series of videos on Yusra Mardini. So hot.

I used some left over red wine to make a sauce with balsamic vinaigrette. It came out too acidic after reducing it for a half hour. Then I threw some baking soda in it and it helped me save the sauce with some additional work.

Mega road trip this morning which started with a Red Bull breakfast and then down the A41 from Chester past the spine of the Peckforton Hills at 4am, through flooded lanes that kept on wanting to pull the car into ditches and then the motorway around Birmingham was not much better. Through the Euro Tunnel and onto The Hague. Total driving time, including the 35mins in the Eurotunnel train 8hrs 15 mins. That's 15 mins off my past record. Of course, you need to be on your own and disciplined to make those times. A good dose of Gethomeitis helps, pitches your adrenaline for the trip and pushes you on through the dark night when others would delay the trip until first light. On a week day, or with the family, that trip can easily be 12.5 hrs.

Nothing like a good road trip to remind you that we have been ennobled by carbon footprints and speed.

Sounds great- So you plonk the car on a train to get through tunnel? Do you have to wait long at either end for train?

Road trips are usually best on your own. Or with a compliant passenger. Ever since my days as a (professional) truck driver I know you must keep going. Frequent, or any stopping, makes the trip long and tiresome. People don’t understand this.

So many people feel they have to eat all the time in a car. Or stop for coffee. For Fucks Sake we’ve only covered 50 or 100 ks.

Very true. Those out of sync pit-stops for pees, drinks and food makes a mockery of one's plans to arrive well-ahead of schedule. And they add hours to the journey, you need to cover as much ground as you can in the first 6 hours as you start to get tired and bored after this, especially on motorways.

I get a big adrenaline rush the night before extensive travel either by car or plane. A real buzz, Jack Kerouac stuff. I've done a few epic drives in my time and the best are when you only stop to fill-up the tank and keep moving constantly with a good music to keep you going.

How many ks is the trip? And why not fly or train?

825kms on the way back.

Needed to go to Brighton, Fawley, up north as well to Sheffield and Harrogate before the Wirral. So best to drive. Plus I needed to stock-up with Brit goods.

825Ks !! WTF - thats a short Sunday drive here.

How many countries and languages you go through?

On the way back: England, Wales, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. And if you class the Belgium dialects that's about 6-7 languages.

As you know, there's easy freeway driving which really doesn't exist in Europe with the exception of some of the northern roads in the UK, the country regions of France, Austria and parts of Germany. The rest is a nightmare of trying to miss extended rush hours, fellow holiday makers and the next up coming roads works. When I was in South Africa last November we did a couple of 800km+ trips and there were easy by comparison.

Like high quality brit coffee - ROFLMAO

Actually stocked up with litre bottles of Lamb's rum, Coca Cola mixers, Sainsbury's own gin 1.5 litre bottles, Sapporo lager in the old style metal cans 650ml, and Schweppes slimline tonic which is 3x the price over here.

I went to Cordings in Harrogate, but they only had their winter gear in with the exception of an off-white linen suit. I was looking for linen-wool or silk summer jacket, they have them on their website already. Even the pants they only had thick cords, moleskins and super heavy weighty drill. It is rather cold in that part of England even in summer.

This is what I've been watching since the lockdown.

People watching other YouTube videos.

That New York guy got eviscerated.

I’m getting a day off next week. There’s a lot I should do around the house, but I’m probably just going to sleep.

For Corona reasons, the Michelin starred restaurant right next door started offering a takeaway three course surprise lunch menu. Which means that combined with the perfect spring weather, I have the daily luxury of enjoying what is most likely the best rooftop terrace restaurant currently in existence within miles.

Hopefully no one has breathed into that takeaway meal then.

You really are trolling aren't you? There ain't nothing gracious to be taken from being in a lock down no matter how decent the view. It ain't natural and it isn't where it's at. We gotta' get out of this place as soon as is possible without risking wave after wave of medieval death rattles and plague.

While there's medical and other workers on the front line, boasting about a room with a view is rather tacky indeed. The rest of us are bit players and extras in the real movie and don't let any of us forget it. Especially, the likes of you, who up until a week or so ago held the line it was all just the flu.

A local toy shop sent my kids free toys as part of a first responder thank you program. It’s such a beautiful gesture that I was tearing up. I feel a little bad taking free stuff that we can afford to buy, so I told the kids we are going to find a good place to make a donation to help out kids in need right now.

May Day protests brought her out in Greece.

not for long if you look at the two yo-yos behind the girls

I remember an Italian colleague of mine telling me that all you English guys think that all Italian women are babes. Whilst only 1% are them are and they are extremely high maintenance.

I got out of grand jury service. I can go back to working 80hrs a week at my day job.
