What TV Shows Are You Watching?

Been watching Partner Track. The text messages, social media stuff, and cinematography reminds me a bit of Emily in Paris.

I'm on episode 3.

I have to say the suits are pretty horrible for an upscale law firm in New York. Bowing of the chest. I know there's short and trim jackets but you're seeing the tie, the belt buckle and then some of the belt when buttoned. One of the male leads also mysteriously has a dimple in his tie and then in another episode or scene wears another tie without one.

Never heard of that, but just added it to my queue.

I hope the new GoT improves. So far it’s been fairly predictable and dull.

Devil in Ohio.

A watchable little drama about a hospital psych who fosters a teen girl escaping from a satanic cult. Three eps in and I give this a 7/10

Edit: finished this one and it’s good. Character complexity was well done. I’ll raise it to a 7.5

Started this a few days ago. It's sorta a current day Ally McBeal....on a lower lever. Watchable.

My company has their name on a building on 1633 Broadway. It keeps showing up in the show through the windows of the boardroom and certain offices.

I struggle to figure out where they could be shooting from that would show it so close. Google said they shot from the Empire State Building. Maybe it is a digital background.

Anyway. I finally made it to episode 5.

Watched all the Apollo mission docs on Netflix. Reasonable enough.

Some of the engineers involved were Brits, NASA advertised in The Telegraph which was even in the late 1990s the place to advertise for engineers. Use to be a couple of grand for one advert.

First two eps of the new Lord of the Rings series showed real promise.

My father keeps advocating for it. All I remember about Lord of the Rings were the very lengthy 2000s movies. I never read the books.

I have 25 or so minutes to go before the end of Partner Track. I'm looking forward to a second season.

I originally had Suburra: Blood on Rome as background but I actually started getting into it. The problem is I need the subtitles so it forces me to pay attention on screen since I don't know much Italian outside of cooking videos.

Anyone watching Andor?

I finished watching The Bear. I'm not sure it deserves a second season. I curse a lot since coronavirus but this show has next level cursing.

New episodes every Wednesday...maybe you want to wait a bit before binging.

The woman next to me at the wine tasting seemed to believe The Bear had a brilliant season finale. I watched it again today and begged to differ.

-A Danish politician is suddenly cast in the role of a potential prime minister candidate. What comes with that? Deceit, lies, planning and being one step ahead of your opponents.

I am still on S1. The actual first 4-5 eps were good, but the entire election(results) things could have been tied up faster.

So far, so good. Have not finished and will def get to S2.

-Great start! No BS...no lead up. Right to what this prolific serial killer did back in the late 70's to early 90's.

I don't need a buildup. I don't need to know what he was like when he was 8 years old. Of course, by episode 3, that's what entire episodes were dedicated to.

I guess I will push through...especially if someone finishes it and suggests that I should.

Is that the original Borgen or a new show? Looks new to me.

A new "series" was just released....but I started with the original from 2012. That's just a random pic.
The pic looks new and the main character looks aged so that’s why I wondered. Thanks for the update illl have to check out the new series. I liked the original when I watched it years ago but I don’t know if it’s aged well so I can’t necessarily recommend it still. Stick with it if you can I’m curious to hear your take on it.

Andor revolves around the guy from Rogue One? The depressing one that convinced me the empire was a much better life.

The new one is pretty good.

I just don't understand that. If you are paying for Netflix or Amazon or Apple....just watch it there. Why the need to find it on a "free" platform?

For him? It’s some kind of life motto or anti corporate/media mogul statement. I could loan him my Netflix account too.

fellas im just fucking with you jesus. yes i could login to netflix each time i want to watch an episode but i honestly just find it easier to pirate it and watch it on my desktop. plus, i only have the SD plan, and usually I can get 1080p rips online. normally all new releases are available asap so i'm not quite sure why no one has ripped this one yet. if i get bored enough i'll fire it up.

I do the same, fwiw. Upload things automatically to put.io, then i can watch them on all my devices, on and offline. No need to figure out which of all the platforms has it, make sure the latest is on, download it for offline in each platform, etc. i guess pirate4life is a thing…

My man!

What’s put.io? Is that like Plex?

check it out. it's similar to Plex but not quite - it's an automated, descentralized/cloud-based torrent service that allows you to set up rss feeds and automatically download as things become available. Then it has a bunch of apps/integrations that allow you to do cool shit with it. When I'm travelling, for instance, I can connect from a hotel's smart TV and watch my shows directly.

I have just moved so waiting for my new fibre connection. However, I walk past the Andor prop warehouse several times a day. I thought about asking to look around but I have a fear of rejection...
