Air Travel - I'd Rather Go By Car

He wasn't getting much love from from mothers with kids either.

(I forget where I read it but Reddit? Comments section of a local city blog?)

I think airline flights should work the same as any other freight: pay by the weight and volume.

But some people can't help that they are fat. Even if they take Ozempic (ask a doctor about it today).

"The flight bound for Atlanta was ultimately cancelled after customers sat in the un-air conditioned plane for three hours."

3 hours from New York to Atlanta? You could fly there and back no? It's just a shade under two hours gate to gate from where I live.

She was allowed on the plane? I remember getting off from the US a bit wobbly after a same day trip and forgetting I violated duty free rules so I volunteered to be taxed. Duty agents were more concerned about my state of mental acuity that they just told me to take my cognac and go.

"We've had a passenger who's had diarrhoea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta,"

They couldn't lock them in the washroom?

Because you know for Air Canada the expectation is you sit in vomit.

I was always under the impression that economy class air travel was luxurious and looked like this, and people dressed up:

but then someone brought it to my attention that economy class looks like this, and no-one dresses up. :o

The Shooman The Shooman , never change.
Ever been on a plane? At least this millennium?

Then again BIG GRANDDAFFY SHOE DADDIES only fly private I guess.

"So-called sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) can be made from a variety of sources, including crops, household waste and cooking oils.

For this flight, a Boeing 787 has been filled with 50 tonnes of SAF. Two types are being used, with 88% derived from waste fats and the rest from the wastes of corn production in the US.

Planes still emit carbon when using SAF, but the industry says the 'lifecycle emissions' of these fuels can be up to 70% lower.

SAF is already used in small amounts, blended with traditional jet fuel, but accounts for less than 0.1% of the aviation fuel consumed around the world."

Like ethanol.

"The majority of the fine will go towards compensating future Southwest passengers affected by cancellations or delays caused by the airline, while $35m will be paid to the government."

It took $35m for the government to shame them.

I'm actually more amazed that a window seat wasn't taken in..I think it was row 26. I thought planes rarely fly now without it being close to full (as someone who suffered through multiple YYZ-EWR 'cancellations' at the gate).
