One of my favorite old FNB threads. A few notables to start in Thruth Thruth 's post.

the blue windowpane is ok

im way too much a rooky to consider a two breasts corduroy, let alone with patch pockets, moreso patch pockets cut like that

the brown windowpane i like a lot

to me the pow is more a country suit than a sportscoat, again the pockets are a very advanced move, especially the breast pocket

i think this is a thread with some potential

Whoa, there is a lot of oddness here. Level-bottomed hacking pockets? The chest pocket angling outward (actually same with the cord; is this some lefty thing)? The previously mentioned formality incongruence of cut and fabric pattern.

that is because you are afraid of two breasts

This was probably cut for a pear shaped fellow given how big the skirt is.

All those coats are awful, except for the orange windowpane one

Ok. Since you now have purchased SARTOria Partenopea. I will call you Sarto henceforth.

The blue windowpane is fine although the one posted by doghouse doghouse most recently is more flexible. I like the DB corduroy but agree with ConchitaWurst ConchitaWurst that it requires a leap of faith. I also agree with his point that the glen check seems more of a suit fabric.

These four jackets are far better than the abortion fun clubs that iGents favour

Would still like to know how this cockup happened but neither IS or Greg chose to say anything

Good thing Noodles didn't get these cuffs

I remember asking him about it when he posted this. All he replied was that there was some misunderstanding during the MTO process and that this was the best they could do and that he wasn't particularly bothered by it. Which I can't believe, if it were my jacket I had demanded them to correct it.

We discussed here at the time and came to the same level of disbelief that he would not explain except for his cryptic reason, his accepting it as acceptable even if it is not and deferring to Greg to explain more if he chose to.
