So the dipshit my state just elected governor decided to wear morning dress to the inauguration, forgot the hat and it doesn't fit.

Fact check: apparently the Virginia Governor has kept the morning wear inauguration alive (including the last dipshit), and I don’t know who the last one was to actually wear a hat.

I actually appreciate it (not to sound like a costume wearing freak like Swen). Any more formal or antiquated respite from the abyss of flag pin lapel suits and notch lapel tuxedos in our political class, I find most welcome. And that is true about the fit, but it is must be much more difficult to find good fitting morning wear for a one off occasion when you have a 6’7 nba freak body like Glen.

I mean I don't have a problem with the tradition, it's interesting like seeing it at Ascot and what not, I have a massive problem with the execution though. I will judge poor fitting clothing with utter disdain like any self respecting poster on a clothing forum should. And a dude of Youngkins means has zero excuse not to have a bespoke morning suit that fits. Worse than being a politician, he's a complete fucking philistine.
 
Probably should add glad to see you pop in C Ciociaro , drop by more often man. We also have the agreeable thread if you are more inclined to post some good stuff than to be a dick to random bad dressers like I do.

Not sure about state governors, but I remember reading that JFK was the last president to wear a top hat to his inauguration.

Eisenhower wore a hat, but it wasn't a top hat - perhaps it was a homburg?

Anyway, JFK wore a top hat *to* to the inauguration ceremony, but he removed it during the ceremony, and apparently no president since has worn a hat.

The Brits love their shorts too, even in cold weather. Noticed my brother had a pair on when he was in mum's new conservatory the other day when I FaceTime'd her.

They also like those tight pants that are basically leggings. Even guys in their late 50s. Always with white trainers/sneakers, again even in the middle of winter when maintaining beaming white is going to be difficult.
