As to the use of the term "sex tourist," I always thought that applied more to pervy guys who fly off to Thailand. Manila or Bali to screw 10 or 11 year olds of either sex. Hell, buying a whore down in Tijuana was almost a rite of passage for Anglo boys of my generation in California. (Not me, I visited Mexico in 1946, didn't much care for it and haven't been back.) I suspect many of my contemporaries lost their virginity down in "TJ."

A couple of amusing stories: I have a relative whose father took him down to TJ to buy him a whore for his 15th birthday and presumably make a "man" of him. What he didn't know was that the precocious lad had already jumped the gun! Ironically, the father was a vestryman in the local Episcopal parish at that time.

Another time, some of my prep school classmates were down in TJ soon after graduation and they sicced a whore on one of their companions--an epicene young man. (He and I hated each other!) Life is tough in many places, even in the good ol' USA. The LA Times has been running a series of lengthy articles exposing how a lot of Mexican farm workers in Mexico growing produce for US consumption are forced to toil under oppressive, exploitative serf-like conditions. Are the women who make their livings servicing randy American college boys worse off than if they were sweating on a farm...or working 12-hour shifts in a sweatshop garment factory...or even cleaning toilets in a high-rise office building in Los Angeles? I don't think so!

By the way, Episcopal vestrymen can't preach. The clergy do that.

I don't know as much about Mexico, but it certainly isn't true in the USA or at least wasn't when I did considerable first-hand "research" into this social problem a few decades back.

The Episcopal Church is the American affiliate of the worldwide Anglican Communion. More presidents have belonged to the Episcopal Church than any other religious body. The vestry is the elected governing body of an Episcopal parish church.

Gufsad's point is being gleaned over. There are a lot of women in the world that are sold, captured and conned into prostitution. The "independent pussy consultant" seems more a euphemistic avenue of denial. There are many more gutter prostitutes than any other kind, this idea that most are hot independents is false, that's the vast minority worldwide.

While "fun fun fun" might be a good joke for jocular men to share stories over, the reality is that prostitutes tend to be any combination of victims of sex abuse, drug addicts, mentally ill, or just lazy pieces of shit. Even the Spitzer type ones.
