This is another hideous megathread. It's about belts.

To begin, why is a d-ring ribbon belt disfavored with wool trousers? I want to say that old J. Press catalogs would show them like this.

i wear jpress belts with my holiday clothing. i like slim alligator or croc with sport jacket and trouser combinations. i'm more of braces/side adjuster man for suits.

i also like the look of braided leather and braided colored fabric belts.

Exotic leathers would be elite. Braided leather, or those cord ones like mentioned in this article, for casual use of course.
