Listed at SF, but I find the measurements off from a 52 R. It's short and full bodied. Can have it altered but is it a bargain? Thanks.

42R-ish
Shoulders- 19 1/4
Sleeve - 24
Armpit to Armpit - 23 1/2
Lapel - 4
Length from BOC - 30
Waist across middle button - 21.5

It is my size, ( yes, I am not too tall and barrel chested) and I have PM'd the seller in the past. The initial waist across middle button measurements were wrong but I see that he has corrected since then.

I think that now is USD 250.00

Is this yours? If so, make a classified listing.

No, he's buying it from someone else.

Robertito, I'd advise against buying other people's bespoke, unless you can try it on beforehand. There are too many idiosyncrasies in bespoke to adequately judge fit based on measurements alone. For example, you have no idea whether the jacket corrects for a dropped left or right shoulder.

The only things that you can really alter on a jacket without risking ruining it and costing a pretty penny are the waist and the sleeve length (assuming non working buttons). For a double breasted jacked you could alter the length relatively easily as well, but not on a single breasted jacket.

19.25" shoulders for a 42R is a bit strange and 24 sleeves is a bit short for "normal" 42R - they are more usually around 25". BOC is a bit on the short side - perhaps not these days. Although TBO standard measurements aren't honoured anywhere these days.

What would you alter?

It depends on that - as too much altering might/can/will throw things out.

Also as its bespoke ?? - it might be allowing for idiosyncrasies - dropped shoulder - forward stance etc- you dont have........

And why would someone be selling a jacket made expressly fro them....

aah snap - monkey beat me to it

edit - hey we even used some of the same descriptors

Great minds...

I believe the guy from Panta had it made for him, then sold it to this guy, who is selling it again. If you buy it you'll end up putting it on SF again, because it probably won't fit you either.

Not my jacke and I also find the sleeves and BOC on the short side, with a loose waist.

Was going to take in the waist and let out the sleeves (I normally wear a Caruso 52 drop 8/9R without any alterations). I am not sure that the working buttons sleeves can be let out at all.

I think monkeyface bought the other listed 52R Panta jacket.

otoh if you want an old man looking jacket to wear with your open necked white spread collar business shirt and jeans with black sleek chelsea boots - go for it!

Yeah, but mine was RTW. Awesome jacket.

I very rear buy things without trying them first, shoes may be the only exception. I only toyed with the idea because in theory is my size and the price was very good

samewise except the jacket and sleeve lenght.

Best to avoid buying someone else's bespoke for the reasons listed above.
