I mentioned that Mrs DB (already slim) started taking a low-dose GLP-1 to loose a the last few stubborn pounds. It’s worked well for her but I still have real concerns about long term use.
Still, it send me down the rabbit hole of reading about the underground world of ‘bio hacker’ taking unregulated peptides to reverse aging. It’s actually fascinating stuff that I think someday we will all be using (after a lot more R&D as well is big Pharma moving in to make a buck).
Everything from weight loss, improving cognitive function, injury recovery, improved sleep, building muscle, improving the skin elasticity and colour to libido.
The places selling this shit are dodgy af and the people taking them are scarily ignorant of any basic human biology or scientific principles. Or there are the ‘clinics’ that are also pushing testosterone and other treatments to vulnerable middle aged men.
has anyone here fooled with this stuff?
