belinmad belinmad travels a lot. What do you carry your stuff in?
I had one of the cheaper Tumi’s for about 10yrs, recently switched to a Briggs & Riley (got it for free w loyalty points) about a month ago when the Tumi gave up

Briggs certainly makes quality stuff, but I've found most of the mainstream luggage companies to be pretty underwhelming. Patagonia and Arcteryx make stuff that's many times better in looks and durability.

That said I do have a Rimowa roller that I got because it was all flat black and looked hard core.

I am not against rollers, but having grown up with the rolling bags you had to tilt and drag (and cut up your ankles if you were even slightly above average in height) I never owned one. I bought some JW Hulme bags about a decade ago which maybe aren't the most convenient but they at least easily fit into any baggage compartment.

That said, one of the bags had a broken widget a few weeks ago and when I called up JW Hulme they offered to fix it for free. I thought that was nice. When was the last time someone fixed something for free?

Briggs makes nice stuff. But it is heavy!! On the rare occasion, I am compelled to check stuff in my two Briggs roller suitcase is robust and great.

At other times, I use a backpack carry-on and pack light and so should y'all.
