Coronavirus

This makes a lot of sense. Let's try to reduce the density of a high density mode of transport. Shutting down stations only makes crowding worse. It's like reducing hours to a store and shutting down surrounding stores.

“Estelle Lucas has worked as an escort for the past 10 years in Melbourne, carefully building relationships with her clients. But the spread of Covid-19 and the need for social distancing has prompted a ban on sex work, leaving her worried those efforts will go to waste.

’It's fair to say that if I'm not working for six months, a lot of people are going to forget me,’ she says.

’I can't contact my clients and just have a conversation with them. That doesn't work in my industry. We need to build intimacy and that's just not possible in the current environment.‘

Before the coronavirus outbreak, Estelle says she was earning an above-average income, and had hoped to soon pay off the mortgage on her home in Melbourne's inner suburbs.”

I don’t think I would forget her but I definitely would after seeing the price.

She should contact Archie Luxury. He will be quids in after he sells all his Pateks. Easier for him to get there from Brisbane too with travel restrictions on overseas visits.

The ones who pay tax here get the full government allowance until they can go back to work 1-Sept. They're complaining as other contact workers have already been able to go back i.e. hairdressers. Interesting, skin/Botox clinics were not shut down during this period, they could have carried on working, but everyone gave them a miss.

In one of the articles there was a link to a Twitter feed savaging some hostesses/escorts/red light workers who were complaining that they didn't get any money from the state. There were loads of responses from adult entertainment workers who are a 100% in the system paying taxes with the ''We All Must Pay'' hash tag. As it should be. They've been getting their entitlements from the State during the crisis.

Let's pay in to secure some of that 2 billion doses of...oh, it isn't proven to work yet.

"Any country can join by making a commitment to purchase vaccine doses, Berkley said, even those who have already made bilateral deals with pharmaceutical companies, giving them a chance to mitigate the risk of not backing a winning vaccine."

The rest of the world is protesting for black people and Romans are protesting for...

"'We are here to make the whole world understand that today in Italy, every category of workers is devastated and destroyed by a government that in fact is not doing the interests of Italians,' he told Reuters news agency."

Is that 2m?

Impossibble to tell in a picture taken at an angle. Needs to see it top down, to measure properly.
Also.. not all countries have a 2m rule. We are down to 1m.

Was at the food wholesalers today, was chatting to one the guys in there, he said with restaurants closed and most of the big organisations working from home, they went from having 30 lorries on the road six days a week, to 3 supplying whatever organisation had canteens open during the peak of the lock down.

It's 1m...depending which point you measure to/from.

The crowd on the right hand side seem to have a bit of a problem.

I'm surprised canteens are open. Our company (German) policy is for canteens to be closed and coffee stations closed too. The latter generated some consternation in Europe as that's where impromptu meetings and socialising happened. In Asia it was a non event as people brew tea at their desks and only the ex pats hung around the coffee machines.

Think some of the NATO stuff stayed open, the Space Agency was shut down though.

One of our clients have had several deaths in the Kingdom and in Kazakhstan there were over 400 cases on one project alone. Several teachers have it at the eldest school.

"A consistently high positive rate suggests alternately the virus is endemic in the United States — infecting far more people than we know — or there isn't enough testing,"

OR

"Remember this: When you have more tests, you have more cases. I say to my people: Every time we test, you find cases because we do more testing. So if we have more cases — if we wanted to do testing in China or in India or other places, I promise you, there'd be more cases,"

No testing...no coronavirus. Or like Brazil. No statistics...no coronavirus.

Is that protected or unprotected? Droplets....

How would you know if they're not from the same household? Different race? One ugly one supermodel? Woman taller than man?

Even when they were opening in May the infections and deaths were the world's highest. With people saying it's raging in Brazil and that's the new epicentre they're only running neck and neck in deaths with the US. Cases were pretty much equal until this week when Brazil surpassed 30K cases a day.

I honestly believe the US strategy is herd immunity as quickly as possible.

It will be interesting how a herd immune contingent of Americans showing up on the shores of an isolated New Zealand would look like without a vaccine. I reckon similar to the Europeans and aboriginals of North America.
