Coronavirus

I thought when I saw the 300K number last night that it would be a record.
I was intrigued by the Indian figures coming out. On Talk Radio in the UK they had some Indian specialist on and as he was chatting away, he confirmed many younger people now coming to hospital in India and then qualified it by saying of course, they shouldn't becoming to the hospital with low level symptoms as they are. So they need to educate them to not come to the hospital. Not quite the double whammy many headed mutation Hydra as the Daily Mail would have us believe,

Another one of the wife's friends is opting out of the vaccine. This lady is big, she's in the BBW range. If you were her size, knowing those who are at risk of this virus, it seems implausible that you wouldn't get the vaccine.

They also dropped at one point to 20-30K a day. Given their population size I am not sure that is actually possible.

They do fund GPs through Medicare but know fuck all about running stuff. GPs can’t do mass vax which is needed to do big numbers quickly. Feds didn’t do a deal with states to do mass vax. Trying to pay states about 30% of price they pay GPs. Being over cautious about risks with clots and astra Zeneca.

GP means general practitioner? Family physician? Why can't they do mass vaccination?

GP in Oz and Uk means general practitioner. Here , and I think Uk, they are the gatekeepers of the system as well as what the name says.

Gatekeeper means you can’t walk into a Specialist of any sort without a GP referral. Or walk-in and get blood tests etc. Remember for most people this all will be free. Except procedural specialists etc who charge over the reimbursed gov rate.

it’s sort of like Family Physician in USA but much more important .

My personal GPs are in what’s considered a large practice, I think 24 of them including a few GP specialists, eg sports medicine, reproductive etc. Even they are stretched at 100 vax a day. Huge logistics and space problems.

To do true mass vax you need large workforce, large space plus ancillary staff. Individual or small (4-8 person) GP practices just can’t deliver.

In melbourne we are doing around 1,000 a day in 3 mass vax centres. There’s more mass vax centres coming online each day.

we are also doing vax at many , not all, GP clinics , but many can only achieve 10 or 20 a day due to space, staff snd other work,

The equivalent in the Netherlands, is the huisdoktor, no gatekeeping with them, ask for a specialist and ye' shall receive.

Depending on your healthcare plan, you often have to go through your primary provider to get a referral to a specialist.

As for vaxxing, we are leveraging the big hubs run by public health and local pharmacies to do a lot of the heavy lifting. Hospitals, primary providers, targeted mobile strike teams and others will reach special populations.

My biggest hub is doing 60,000 a day and the smallest strike team does 10 per day.

One of the wife's friends is a radiologist she had do a grave yard shift in the emergency this week, indeed, there were lots of Covid patients coming in, the common denominator she said is that they were all very aged and had refused the vaccine.

That's strange. I would have thought seniors in the EU were all vaccinated by now. I'm not sure you are allowed to refuse one if you're in a senior home.

In Michigan they said it was teens coming in to hospitals. Where I live it's the 20s-30s people filling up the ICU. But it's clear - at least to me - it's because you have vaccinated the majority of X age group and infections now spread to the next one.

I don't understand why certain medical people say things like "you can't vaccinate your way out of this" or these vaccines were for last year's virus and are no match for the mutations. None of that offers a solution or any hope. Vaccines drive down hospitalization and deaths. Cases will always happen. Look at Britain. Or Israel. Or why it's not raging in the US.

because they're medical people, not spokespeople. they aren't there to offer solutions or hope, just facts.

look at what happened with fauci when he started spewing bullshit about the virus and masks and other assorted things at the beginning. he was wrong on so much that he became distrusted by just about everyone.

No, they're still doing seniors here and I know for a fact some octogenarians in Italy are still waiting for their first dose. My mother-in-law who's 77 had her first dose here in the Netherlands last week. The Dutch intend to have all the vulnerable people covered by September this year.

There are signs of acceleration, I pass one of the major hubs for vaccines which is a football stadium in The Hague and there use to be just dribs and drabs going in, now there is a definite flow of cars going in and out.

He's shifty isn't he? Say's one thing, then six months down the line the complete opposite justifying the noble lie was to protect medical services. It should be an exit stage left followed by a bear moment. And then you bring in someone in 100% clean and transparent for the next act. I guess the Fauci goon show of fear must go on.

There is no virus. There is a mass murder through so-called vaccines, however.

The European Union is going to sue AstraZeneca for not delivering a vaccine they don't want to use...okay.

A few months ago both Canada and Mexico begged the President for some doses and if memory serves me correctly, Mexico received 2.5M and Canada 1.5M because AstraZeneca produced something like 8M and it was in storage in Ohio.

Now they have enough that would stop the EU from suing AstraZeneca for some time....just sitting around.

Bring it on...

Low quality vaccine for low quality countries. Send the stuff to India et al, it’s not needed anymore elsewhere.

"And what's playing out in India now unfortunately has been played out in other countries."

Yes. It was raging in Brazil and still is in deaths, South Africa, Britain...and then it dies down.

Fauci says Canada isn't mishandling the pandemic's third wave

The Covid papal father has spoken glowingly of us..

Advice from his holiness to the subcontinent.
