The Shooman

A Pretty Face

I went looking at clothes and shoos today with a hope something might appeal to me. First stop was to go into Australia's most exclusive store and check out the shoos. To my horror they had big sale signs on the windows, and this meant many humans were lining outside the doors to get in. 95% were young Chinese mainly in their 20's. The atmosphere was awful, it was one of showing off and trying to make impressions to tell the world one is very wealthy....young kids from communist countries tend to do these things when their dad has plenty of money from my experience.

I went up stairs and looked at shoos. Some ordinary looking Artioli were reduced from $2,800 to $1,400. Still too much for the styles imo, but would certainly pay that for the right style of Artioli shoo. I picked up a shoo and went to ask Ali Pirouzkar a question because l was curious what the man is like in the flesh. The impression he gave off was very poor. Despite me being well turned out in highend casual and lovely shoos, when Ali saw me talk to him, his face dropped and he made an excuse to get away from me. The behaviour was very odd, it was like dracula seeing garlic or superman seeing kryptonite, he couldn't get away fast enough. Not long after he found a young Chinese kids to talk to.

The way l see it is that he is not used to seeing many aussie men in highend stores like Harrolds. To me he saw a bigger meal ticket by focusing on young Chinese with extremely wealthy fathers.

I don't mind being snubbed, but it was an interesting experience. It does show that this man is really full of self interest and is not there to serve all people, instead he seems there to try and make the most money off the customers who look like a good target. I think it is a very poor way to conduct yourself, especially when you come across as very odd when doing it (the smile instantly dropping off your face like you are facing your worst nightmare LOL). He looked really out of his comfort zones and rattled. IMO his brain was hard wired on $$$$ signs, and when he saw me talk to him his thoughts must have been `how the heck do l get rid of this guy, l want a bigger meal ticket'.

The kid that Ali talked to had a Thom Brown polo shirt on. He was probably a known customer at Harrolds.

Here is Ali:

I ended up shopping at Henry Bucks (another top store in Oz) where l am always treated well without the pretentiousness of Harrolds. I also bought some nice monk shoes at Louisa and got them on discount.

The whole point is that he could have handled the snub much much better. When l see him again l will talk to him about the art of the snub. I'll tell him that his face dropped when he last saw me and that it was obvious that he could wait to get away from me fast enough. I'll tell him he needs to work on making it less obvious.

I have nothing against the man, but if he is going to snub he needs to learn to do it better. He needs to snub with a smile because having your face drop looks awkward and uncool.

Does he go by Ali now? I have always thought his smile was the only thing going for him really. . .

Why did you not give him the snark face?

thanks shooey - he is a bit oily for me. And if he's such a big shot in Las Vegas and has a "movie career" after a bit part playing himself in one (1) movie then wtf is he doing working as a shop assistant in Melbourne?

The Sales, Style and Service maestro, Ali Pirouzkar is ready to unleash his eye-popping flamboyance, natural chutzpah and magnetic charisma in Australia!

Acknowledged as America’s best-dressed man, the larger than life Iranian-born Ali Pirouzkar is also one of the world’s greatest sales persuaders. With his Australian-born wife Nancy, Ali recently moved to Melbourne where he is smashing sales records with the city’s most prestigious fashion retailers. Wherever Ali travels to he and Nancy are mobbed, for he looks like a celebrity and he is. Discovered by director Martin Scorsese at a high-end Las Vegas mall, Ali was selected to play a high-roller in the hit movie Casino (1995), where he stole the scene with a four minute cameo with Sharon Stone.

With Ali’s history in working within the highly competitive fashion industry in Manhattan, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Toronto, he has built a reputation as being an expert Retail Sales Coach, who specialises in changing sales people attitudes, tactics, skills in negotiation and up-selling, as well as the importance of product knowledge. By dealing directly with retail business owners and sales professionals he shows them how to use break through strategies to achieve PHENOMENAL RESULTS in a very short time.

There is no doubt that fashion is Ali’s passion. He’s a consummate counsel on style and presentation, backed up by his powers of persuasion and selling. Ali Pirouzkar is the Master of Sales, Style and Service and he is ready to show us how to sell and serve with style and success.

I doubt the real owner will be happy about this at all

Too pimpish looking. To some people that is style, but many true style icons would scoff at such things. Dressing like that is very obvious.

Why did you not give him the snark face?

I have a pic of her face stashed away (identicle to my avator). When l see him l will show him the photo and cover half of it with my hand and tell him that this is the "snark face" and then explain the issues behind it. The "snark face" often provokes a lot of fear in people because they instinctively know they are on their last chance.

Ali can pretty much do everything. See video from 2:30 until end. Btw, he can even sell 45 million dollar aircraft.

The Shooman The Shooman I was in Henry Bucks today and saw our mate. Ali spreading his bullshit on someone. I stood back and had a look. He has huge Cuban heels on his shoes. Not delicate little ones but big clompy ones that look like he cut them off a pair of RMWs and stuck them on.
