The Shooman
A Pretty Face

I went looking at clothes and shoos today with a hope something might appeal to me. First stop was to go into Australia's most exclusive store and check out the shoos. To my horror they had big sale signs on the windows, and this meant many humans were lining outside the doors to get in. 95% were young Chinese mainly in their 20's. The atmosphere was awful, it was one of showing off and trying to make impressions to tell the world one is very wealthy....young kids from communist countries tend to do these things when their dad has plenty of money from my experience.
I went up stairs and looked at shoos. Some ordinary looking Artioli were reduced from $2,800 to $1,400. Still too much for the styles imo, but would certainly pay that for the right style of Artioli shoo. I picked up a shoo and went to ask Ali Pirouzkar a question because l was curious what the man is like in the flesh. The impression he gave off was very poor. Despite me being well turned out in highend casual and lovely shoos, when Ali saw me talk to him, his face dropped and he made an excuse to get away from me. The behaviour was very odd, it was like dracula seeing garlic or superman seeing kryptonite, he couldn't get away fast enough. Not long after he found a young Chinese kids to talk to.
The way l see it is that he is not used to seeing many aussie men in highend stores like Harrolds. To me he saw a bigger meal ticket by focusing on young Chinese with extremely wealthy fathers.
I don't mind being snubbed, but it was an interesting experience. It does show that this man is really full of self interest and is not there to serve all people, instead he seems there to try and make the most money off the customers who look like a good target. I think it is a very poor way to conduct yourself, especially when you come across as very odd when doing it (the smile instantly dropping off your face like you are facing your worst nightmare LOL). He looked really out of his comfort zones and rattled. IMO his brain was hard wired on $$$$ signs, and when he saw me talk to him his thoughts must have been `how the heck do l get rid of this guy, l want a bigger meal ticket'.
The kid that Ali talked to had a Thom Brown polo shirt on. He was probably a known customer at Harrolds.

I ended up shopping at Henry Bucks (another top store in Oz) where l am always treated well without the pretentiousness of Harrolds. I also bought some nice monk shoes at Louisa and got them on discount.
