That is a very interesting video. The cat probably hasn't eaten in ages and is desperate for food, but it knows those spikes are dangerous. The porcupine also knows the power of its own weapon, ie, the spikes, and uses them to full effect. The cat is only young, but it has learned its lesson to not bother with porcupines ever again. It is also interesting how the cat tried to bite its spikes....lucky it didn't lose an eye, an older cat would be much more wise.

I remember seeing an acidna. I tried to roll him over with my boot, but he burrowed down quick into the ground and l couldn't move him.
