As promised, here is one of the truly great AAAC postings from Comolli about his meeting with the legendary Ken C Pollock, or as l always referred to him, "Mr Pollock" or "Sir".

Yes, and l think I still remember your first post at AAAC. I think you asked about shoos and l was the first person to speak to you. You joined in either May or June 2004.

I have other archives of Mr Pollock's shoo ranking, his full blown discussion of the J&M handmades, Mr Pollock's shoo collection and other things. I have hard copies of these because l never used to like reading off the computer (still don't) so l used to print out stuff and read off the hard copy. The old discussions were interesting.

I have a pair of the J&M handmades due to Mr Pollock. They fit really well. J&M handmades were also available in lizard and alligator (can't find the pics)....if they were in my size l would have bought them. The J&M handmades are pure class!

There is richness in the AAAC & SF archives. More words than pics. More knowledge than posting koppage.

Example (circa 2004):

Sometime in August or September I am heading to Rome again and will bring my Cleverley side elastic shoe. I will see if Lattanzi can make a similar shoe with a few modifications. The main reason I am trying this is because of all my bespokes, the most immediately comfortable shoe was by Silvano Lattanzi (not that any of the others were painful mind you). I want to do a bit of modifiation on the Cleverley design and see if he can do it.

T4phage still lives
We don't talk much these days though
He's still my man-crush

Tell me more, seriously. Are you and phage mates?

There is a reason why he posts like that, he is imitating the poster who used to post there called Son Of Saphir.

Yep, phage is still around the traps. A very unique personality. And...when it comes to shoos phage-monster has all the good ones.
