I'm going to be moving to a friend's basement apartment that is essentially one huge room. I'm curious to know what peoples' thoughts might be in decorating this space. Does anyone have experience with those Japanese/Chinese style room dividers?

In a couple weeks I'll see the space and I'll take some photos.
I'm already thinking about small projects I could do, like a handmade pipe rack for the suits/jackets.

That's bloody awful. A bit of copper pipe scrounged from the rubbish on thruths donkey refuge with a bit of number 8 fencing wire strung through. Wtf.

This is a neat idea, and apparently dutch folks like it too.

Just get some fishing line & white PVC pipe. Then you can tell people you got it at IKEA or better yet Jysk
