Here's a collective thread for questions about the suitability of a given outfit or piece for a specific circumstance or event.

I'll start. Location: Southwest. Season: Summer (110+). Place: Courthouse. Event: Internship, in chambers, spectator role in court, as well as various office duties.

Clothing: Khaki-colored Cotton-Linen suit...? (with appropriate accessories for the place - not going all hippy / rockstar here)

Hmmmm. For this one, I have to ask how everyone else at the office is dressing in, and out, of court. This might be a situation of workplace appropriateness as opposed to societal appropriateness.

I'm with Rambo on that one. Especially if there is heavy Bride-input. You don't have the right to ruin their $10,000 day by messing with the details they have poured over for months.

Lest you piss off the bride and then this poor bastard is going to be hearing for the remainder of his marriage about how his dumbass friend ruined all their wedding photos.

Is he going to wear a peak lapel Tux? Maybe he wants to be the only one with peak lapels. Did you asked him?
