Double breasted suit. Bengal stripe shirt. Navy spotted tie and shiny shoes.

Probably not very relaxed at the beach - like Gordon Brown or Richard Nixon.

All part of the fogey image.

He has the money to do it better though. Suits that do not overwhelm him in cloth - a better fitting.

Pimpernel Smith is going to enjoy this.

can't we merge this into the aristocracy thread, or some other thread, for political figures?

Hope the atrocius heat wave isn't stopping you from doing so...
It feels hotter in the Netherlands at the moment, at least it's somewhat of a drier heat in Madrid and the air conditioning is superb. I got off the plane and the heat hit me, you generally don't get that in northern Europe.

JRM is a one trick pony on the sartorial front, I don't think it's bespoke, he's no Alan Clark when it comes to his sartorial vision. As Kingy states a bit baggy, it's either deliberate or RTW. Frank Field is pretty splendid on the shirt front, shame he's about to get done over and deselected by some unelected Momentum thugs.

Nice to see Moggsy wearing decent black oxford captoes. Gotta give him points for knowing what's what!

People may say Boris is sloppily dressed, but he sure knows what a politician's shoo should look like. The black captoe oxford. Boris has worn some very nice black captoe oxfords over the years on beautiful lasts. Bravo Boris!
