Hi all!

So, I was looking at the Kamakura shirts offer and I liked a lot of them plus they sleeve lenght will fit me and they ship to Messico! It's rare to find that on a RTW shirt.

But question is, how are they?

Thanks in advance!

The oxfords are very well made, thick manly tissue, handsome collar roll, great fit throughout the boddy for me. The tissue as you can expect are not as good as italians, but still pretty damn good specially because of the price. I have a couple of cutaway collars on dobby and another fabric and they are pretty lightway and comfortable.

Hope this helps

Those look nice Leitmotif.

Last time I looked at the sizing, the neck and shoulder ratios seemed a little off to me.

What weight are the oxfords?

Careful, some of the non-cotton shirts have different collars. Not nearly as nice.

When I enter to their page it says that orders above $138 usd have free shipping.

Pics can be deceiving. Same happened to me last year, had to return them. Hope these are good!

Does this happen only to the BD shirts or also with the spread and cutaway collars?

The knits have different collars from the regular cotton spreads. Kamakura is really a button down brand though, sure you can find better spread shirts elsewhere.

The only thing I don't like from their BD's is the chest pocket. I have a thing with them, I don't picture myself wearing a shirt with a chest pocket. :laugh1:

Which other shirts with better spreads do you recommend?

Pocket is hidden under your jacket anyways. Give it a try, you'll like it. You can hide your valuables in that pocket when driving.

Will do.

And what are the other brands you will recommend me to check for spread collars?

Sure thing, should be more than good enough for a nice holiday on the caspian sea! Or is it Tel Aviv?

Baku, brother

Just remove the pocket, easy operation

Enjoy! Will we get a trip report? Do you have elite orlebar shorts to go with the not so elite (but very esclusiv in Europe) kamakura?

I want to get one of those kamakura knitted button down collar shirts. They look comfy.

Finamore Napoli and Barba Napoli

Yeah, but the price point even with discount like Shop The Finest or something like that is 1 Barba shirt = 2 Kamakura's. Hehehe.

Yep. Mattabisch too. Suitsupply has some nice spread collars too, but the fabrics are hit and miss. They give you the mill now, so keep an eye on it.

I have one SS shirt, it's nice, the collar is nice but I had to go with the size 42 cause the 41 is way too slim in the shoulders and still, the 42, is short in the arms. Well, not that short but the lenght when I wear it matches with the lenght of my jackets.

Is this one

True, kamakuras are nice but they dont fit as nice as the italian ones. I usually have to redo the waist area of the shirts. That being said though, kamakuras are much affordable and well almost unbeatable when it comes to shirting. All machine made though.

Their light blue Chinese cotton is the softest and most durable fabric ever. They don't offer it in other colours unfortunately. Top top fabric.

You are right, I have one and it is beast. Barely wrinkles. Most of my dress shirts are kamakura, my day to day are barba/luigi/finamore and thats about it.
