What's the date of that video, Shooey? This article plugs New and Lingwood as the place Eddie gets his suits 'cut'.

"As we sat down, on a scorching hot London afternoon at a table just outside the shop, 2 things were immediately noticeable. The first was the elegance of the Sahakians’ attire – Edward in a tobacco suit and Panama hat, Eddie in light blue linen cut by his friends and neighbours at New & Lingwood ... "

Kirby buys the cigar bloke a bespoke suit, and l think it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. I really like the cigar bloke, he gives off a really nice vibe.

It's a pity Kirby had to broadcast his generous gift to the world. It would have been really good if he did it quietly without anyone else knowing, that would have been really honourable. So many want to broadcast their good deeds to the world, and it is a pity.

If l was making the video l would have made it about the cigar man getting a bespoke suit, but l wouldn't mention that it was a gift. OR, l would say someone organised the suit as a gift for the cigar man and wanted to remain anonymous.

I hate it though that they made the whole process sound so excruciating pretentious and over the top. Sure, I work as a tailor so I may be biased, but it's just a very conservatively designed and cut suit with a nice but conservative fabric.
Also, Kirby roaming around the streets with a Homburg and long overcoat is peak British roleplaying

I really don't know what to think of Kirby any longer - he started out as some wide-eyed, folksy guy being introduced to the world of the classics, but there is some sort of evolution and devolution going on simultaneously.
He's like a movie character - A hick that suddenly came into money and is now attempting to assimilate himself into his new demographic.

He's just a guy trying to make money out of iGents. Nothing more complicated than that.

You could be right. Perhaps that's the reason behind his often odd, weird and disturbing expressions.
One of those #menswear cosplay guys who wishes he was born a hundred years ago and lived in the idyllic setting of Downton Abbey. Little did those people predict the turmoil that was coming at them in a few short years.

Kirby is a clear example of cosplay, but is there sometimes not a fine line between cosplay and dressing well?
Perhaps if we get into the realm of certain defined 'styles ' such as Ivy then the shouting 'look at me! ' sadness becomes obvious

A preview of Kirby's new adventure. He goes down to Cuba and rides in yank tanks with the boys, and yes, he films it all of course.

Kirby is really living the sartorial mans dream. One bespoke order this week, another bespoke order next fortnight; it goes on and on, and he films it all in his travels around the world. Good on him for living the life he wants and for showing us his bespoke journey. I reckon he is addicted though, but at least it is not watches.

Here is his third bespoke suit commission from Kent, Haste and Lachter in only a short period of time.
