There was a new catalog out when I was in the store. Not full on winter, but a lot of new/old-updated stuff.
 
I made the terrible mistake of buying some clearance oxfords from Land's End - and now I receive email from them on a daily basis. Presumably they make some decent winter-themed wear but I wouldn't know since I banned winter from descending upon Doom Island. I do miss the reindeer-themed sweaters once in a while.

I kinda dig that LLB duffel coat. Maybe at the end of winter I'll look for it in the sales.
 
I wish I could even make that mistake, Lonestar. It's not even sensible here for anything thicker than a light jacket. Even my much-loved Barbour International gets maybe a month of wear-time.

Oh wow. Shades of the RL Black Watch accessory collection of 1993 or so, but next-level. I'm ready to see it return and would wear these shoes round-the-clock, but I'd prefer they be more durable (that is, explosion-proof and chemical-resistant) and maybe with grippier soles (because you never know when you have to make your escape)

well, it's 20% less scarf for the same price. and - AND - his target customer already has a scarf, so they're paying more to get a smaller scarf.

I really should take lessons from #menswear. Much more civil than extortion and world domination, but same monetary results.

Sadly, I too am subject to #menswear - not so much because the cape fabrics and styles keep changing from season to season (summer, fall, winter) but also because an explosion-proof linen cape is too unrealistic for even my crazy writers and illustrators.
 
Speaking of pocket squares, I've wanted to wear one for a while now but since my standard get-up involves a suit of armor and a cape, I lack a breast pocket. Would it perhaps be sprezz if I were to staple a pocket square to one of the edges of my cape, or should I request that breast pockets be added on my next batch of capes?
 
Epaulet are rolling out a lot of their new Fall line here.

Not a ton I'm in love with as of yet, while many are very solid pieces. Since solidifying my sizing at the Santa Monica store, I'm forced to be more selective b/c almost anything I'd take would have to be custom-cut (Jackets, Pants, etc).

...well actually I do - I'm a genius not a dimwit - but in practice this awful word never crosses my lips, no matter how often my writers turn against me and allow that meddlesome Reed Richards to foil my plans yet again.
incidentally, the one language I have forbade from Doom Island is French. I'm told they have almost as many words for 'surrender' as they do for 'cheese'
 
Geez, I'll never get the workwear at bespoke prices. If anyone has some explanation of why this stuff is better than some basic workwear available from several other honest American made places at reasonable prices, please elucidate.

Look, I like the IDEA of the items: Some designer digging up these patterns and pieces from a long lost age and reproducing them for modern times. Hell, even sprucing up the design here and there is a worthy cause. But don't take a name that used to signify something, in this case cheap, durable workwear, and slap your stupid fucking brand on it along with an 'X + brand name' and quadruple the price just because you used a slightly finer material. Its completely infuriating, especially in this instance.

Mauro what are your thoughts on this bullshit?
