I'm thinking of getting into homebrewing. I like beer, but I worry that this is a monumental task that will drain the joy from it.

They recommend somewhere cool-ish, but I've seen people setup in their bathtubs before. So this can all be done inside with temperatures from 60 to 80 degrees?
You don't actually make it in the bathtub. You use buckets. But store the buckets in your bathtub with ice, assuming the room temperature is not what you're looking for.I thought that was gin?
Well, its still fermentation, so it could blow up in your face. But if you have any semblance of an intellect you should be able to avoid that.I guess the horror story I heard about the set up exploding sticky goo all over was just a hapless idiot?

I'm sure you can get them all over the internet. I got mine through a local home-brewing store (yes, these places exist). I think I paid about $150 for it?
Here's an example, I'm not endorsing the company I know nothing about them.

I forgot all about this. The gin thing being started in another thread sounds cool but I'd prefer beer.
