News about HM The King and the monarchy

"The princess's statement explains that when she had abdominal surgery in January, it was not known that there was any cancer.

'However tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,' said the princess."

Good thing you got "routine" abdominal surgery.

You’re only in His Majesty’s government.

yeah, but these premiers don't like sovereigns, they prefer big government and globalist bodies like the EU or UN (unelected bureaucrats) telling people what to do. Royalty has the power to keep rogue politicians in check through the constitution, and they hate that. They have no loyalty to the crown under which they swear allegiance.

We have new members of parliament here who are against swearing an oath to the head of state which is HM the King. Why they wanted to be elected in the first place when they knew this was one of the conditions is baffling. It's like joining a perfume/scent club but saying you are allergic to scents.

If it bothers people so much, don't get elected or accept an appointment. Instead they rail on how it's an obsolete institution and they are against constitutional monarchy and the Westminster system. It would be more suitable for them to choose a different profession and become a revolutionary.

Maybe they want to serve their electorate and not some monarch from a country on the other side of the world?

He's the King of Canada, not King of England. That's how it is set up here. I can appreciate my southern neighbours haven't had their idea of constitutional monarchy evolve since 1776 but then you see this happen:

Say what you will about Lidia, but she is not cunning and devious like many politicians. She actually believes in things and has convictions, unlike many politicians who are compromised. I have to do some work with her in coming weeks.

"Donald Trump has described the Prince of Wales as a 'good-looking guy' after a meeting with him in Paris at the weekend.

'He looked really, very handsome last night. Some people look better in person. He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that,' the US president-elect told the New York Post."

Must be the facial hair.

The King’s barber or valet needs to either trim his sides more to match the sparse cover at the top or apply a thickener or shave it all off or attempt a comb over.

I am confused. First state visit to Italy, see the Pope during Jubilee year... let's host Stanley Tucci before we go. He's a yank. But he did a BBC show. He is a cancer survivor. He has an Italian cooking hobby. He lives in London.

Still confused about the connection. Surely there must be other Italian ex pats in Britain.

In Italy, King Charles offers 'a surprisingly explicit show of support' for Canada

"Tomorrow in Ravenna, as King of the United Kingdom and of Canada, I will have the great honour of commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of that province ... in which British and Canadian forces played a key role,"

“…a monarch making such a reference in an international, non-Commonwealth setting to his role as ‘King of Canada’ is rare and has few if any parallels in recent royal times.

‘I think this was a deliberately chosen moment for the King to be able to make this statement and to be able to show the support [for Canada] in a more direct way than wearing a red tie,’ royal historian Justin Vovk said in an interview.”

Well, if you think about it, what other Commonwealth nations he is head of state of were major players in the Italian theatre during WW2.

"The prince had wanted to overturn changes to his security that were introduced in 2020 as he stepped down as a working royal and moved to the United States."

Also known as I need more allowance.

"Prince Harry said the King 'won't speak to me because of this security stuff' , but that he did not want to fight anymore and did 'not know how much longer my father has'"

The King seems to think he is alright to resume full duties. Did your vantage point from Hollywood give you insight no one else knows about?
