NFL 2024

I thought the Dolphins won the division but it's actually Buffalo. They host the Chiefs now. All 3 teams had the same record.

Is Lamar Jackson usually that vocal with his teammates? Or it’s the playoffs? Looks like the Ravens broke the first half stalemate.

Cris Collinsworth's son is doing broadcast now? I must be getting old.

Tampa chasing all game and finally ran out of steam with an interception on the final drive. Looks like all the top seeds are progressing.

Lots of Mahomes to Kelce. Chiefs could have pulled away further than 17-7.

So many mistakes by the Ravens. And then self inflicted like taunting.

Opening drives are scoring drives for visitors today. Lions score.

Turning off the game after half time when Lions were up 21-7 was a mistake. I didn't think 49ers could come back.

Apparently Taylor Swift has 17 hours including time difference to get back in time from her Japan performance for the Super Bowl

Teams arrive in Vegas.

300K+ fans estimated to come. Do people fly there just to watch in a bar?

I didn't know Mahomes has a dad bod.
Same! Well, not really. I didn't know his dad bod was that bad.

He has always looked a little doughy. Well, most QBs do/did. Except the likes of Michael Vick, Cam Newton, Lamar Jackson etc. Even the GOAT QB Brady was always a little doughy and he was maniacal about his TB training and nutrition. Other NFL positions are usually more jacked/ ripped - WR/ Running Back, Corner etc

It's to survive the sacks. Well let's see what he does when he starts hitting his 30s. Brady didn't really start thinking about his longevity until he was into his 30s.

In other news Lamar Jackson is MVP again.

Why do the Chiefs have some weird dingo or some sort of animal as their mascot?

Post Malone is horrible at singing slow songs.

Reba McIntyre took over for the anthem. Thank God.

Christian McCaffrey with a trick play touchdown. On a very scary throw.

I turned it off at half time. How do you gents watch it across the pond without taking a day off afterwards? I remember when I lived in London they had those accelerated replays at normal human hours.

Kansas looks like it needs a whole two quarters before they get in gear and start putting opponents away. It's a championship quality to grind out wins and come back but games at the death could have gone either way against the 49ers and Bills. The team entrance also showed the difference. Chiefs had this been there and done that look.

So many miscues and stalled drives in the first half.

Taylor Swift looks like she can sleep on trans Pacific flights.

"This year's Super Bowl was watched by an average of 123.4 million people in the US, making it the most watched broadcast since the 1969 Moon landing. Preliminary US TV ratings put Sunday's game just behind Apollo 11's historic landing, which was seen by an estimated 125 to 150 million people."

And Usher did the half time show...

Cam Newton is 34, a free agent and last played in 2024. His career went down in a hurry.

Russell Wilson to Steelers for league minimum. Is he a backup now?

the broncos are paying him $39 million this upcoming season, which is why he signed for the league minimum with the steelers. that amount comes off what he is owed by the broncos. it is not about being starter for QB2

Mr. Wilson's pocket book won't be hurt but does he still want to play? It says he will compete with Kenny Pickett for the starting position.

Yes, he has celebrated wildly on the new opportunity and the media had repeated it ad nauseum.

Pickett was traded to the Eagles today because the team saw Wilson as QB1.

I think its more that they saw Pickett never becoming QB1 and decided to cut bait while they still could. Same with the Pats and Mac Jones.

The NFL will try XFL kick return rules for one season.

"McKay said there was urgency to vote on this rule before the draft because it could impact the way teams structure rosters. There were 1,970 touchbacks on kickoffs last season that now could be returns. There were 92 fair catches last season that are no longer allowed. Any ball caught in the field of play must be returned."

Did the NFL have amnesia as to why they implemented even stricter rules that resulted in more touchbacks and protections for receivers signaling fair catch? Did they find a cure for concussions?
