Is the only news show that gained viewers this year. A small glimmer of hope that mouth breather nation will be sidelined yet.

I used to watch NBC Nightly News religiously as a kid, but that was under Brokaw and then Williams. My father stopped watching it because he thinks Lester Holt is a weekend anchor at best, and more of a reporter.

ABC hasn't been the same since Jennings and that guy who got himself injured in Iraq.

CBS shot themselves in the foot with the whole Katie Couric and Dan Rather thing.

With perpetually declining viewership and via extension poor advertising sales it does appear no network is willing to invest in broadcast evening news programs anymore.

I remember seeing the first Gulf War start as a kid with the tomahawk cruise missiles and I was so excited I rang my school mate to tell him to tune in. These days people just go on Twitter or Instagram or even Facebook. (still not sure what Snapchat does).

Some valid considerations presented. Ryan isn't up to the job, yet they remain obsessed with Trump. Not sure they mentioned Ryan.

If they don't get consensus quick, 2018 starts to look like a referendum.

In general, this inept governing style in congress is true for both R and D. They act the same way.

I think more people in australia watch shields and brooks than in the US. We're not fucked up - or at least, not as fucked up as you are.
