I usually cuff all my trousers and they are dress.

This are going to be worn at a wedding without a tie and with loafers (and socks!). Trousers have single forward pleat. I will not be wearing a tie and jacket but it just one occasion compared to a 2-3 times per week usage in the city. I think the smart choice is to cuff. :D

yup, makes sense as you are a cuff man.
 
I can state that I have never seen cuffs outside 1-1/4" to maybe 1-5/8" anywhere except on the internet. Not liking the goofy look, I've never even considered asking a tailor for big tall 2.5" cuffs. I'm sure they would laugh.
