Shaving, Skin, and Body Care

I’ll check out hair trimmers. I thought the blades were a bit bigger and would be harder to work around the various corners and curves.

Corded is fine, I don’t need to travel with it. All the beard trimmers I’ve used have a guard - the main difference being external guards (like the Wahl posted by FX above) and internal/adjustable guards that you dial to size, like on this:

i like the wahl lithium ion stainless cordless model. i use it for all areas when necessary and it works perfectly. im looking at an actual clipper with a 0-gap blade for the face next.

I've got some old ones with adjustable guard and the ones with clip on - clip on is better. Adjustable is better in theory but not in practice

I prefer the adjustables. I’ve had a few that worked well (and some that didn’t). Easier than having a bag of guards under the sink that you have to swap out. Some days I do 2 on the cheeks, 4 along the jaw line and 3 on the chin and above the lip.

My barber uses Wahl professional stuff and agreed with Rambo & Thruth that I should look into one of their home clippers.

I’ve never taken care of my skin (maybe a cheap moisturiser after shaving or some SPF if I remember), but I bought a few products in Paris to try out. Total cost was under $50.
