I don't think we have any thread in shopping advice. What do you think of the following jackets. All Boglioli on different sizes. I used to wear 52/54 but I have stopped going to the gym and run more and this is the first time I fit on a 50.

Size 50. It looks good and feels good, maybe a big too tight on the shoulder, I don't remember :-) It is a coat model.

Size 52. This is part of a suit. I can shorten the jacket 1cm and the sleeves

This is a Dover in a 54. I have 2 of them, but this one feels bigger. I think that the length is 77cm, I usually wear 74 cms, I think I can remove 3 cms, I can aloso shorten the sleeves and pinch the waist a bit.

What do I do? Do I buy number 1, number 2, or number 3? or of all of them?

Boglioli sleeves are all pitched too far forward, you need to get a pic taken from the back by someone else obviously with your arms at rest to your sides. You will see some abominations regardless of size.

I have 4 Boglioli, 3 of them are ok but one of them has the sleeves pitched too forward as you say. I took pics of the 50 and 54 but they are not descriptive enough. No, no padding at all in any of the jackets.

Jeans are really distracting before anything else. Waist is too high and tight on the 50 and length too short.

I can't believe any Boglioli is ok from the back without seeing a non-selfie pic.

Don't like any of those. Lapels too slim and fabric doesn't look nice either.
Fabric is nice. I find all my Boglioli to have nice fabrics, my pictures are crap, but the fabrics 2 blue fabrics (one with a slight and small window pane) and sort of tan colour fabric. All 100% wool,

The lapels are not very small, I would say 7.5cms. I can live with them.

Out of the 3 pics which you like the best?

I don't like any of them. Don't buy something just because it's on sale.

The small windowpane fabric looks more like suiting fabric than a casual unlined wrinkly bogliogi jacket fabric. It's a very odd choice. The windowpane would have to be bigger in scale and much more pronounced for it work well with the unstructured cut. I strongly dislike the tan jacket.
