Hey guys,

I need some help. The jeans I bought a couple months ago are now big. They are 32 but I need to shirk them to a 31 or maybe even a 30. I have tried a few methods but without success.

So… do any of you know some methods?

FYI the jeans are Levi's 559's not the Shirnk To Fit ones…

Thanks!

Have you tried boiling them?

Like Officepants said. Turn the jeans inside out, drop a bit of woolite to preserve color. Boil a pot of water, pour, and soak.

For extra stiffness, put a table spoon of starch in the water.

betel - is it the waist and /or bum you are trying to shrink?

If so the best, easiest and professional way is simply to have two darts placed in the back sides from waist down to as far as you need. If you know someone with a heavy industrial sewing machine you can do it yourself. For the initial job you can leave the material intact (that is NOT cut it off) so that you can undo it or refine it.

If its the WHOLE garment that needs to shrink in waist, length and width - then you can try - washing in hot water then drying in HOT dryer.
