When I was a kid I used to think that when I went to sleep knights would joust over who protected me that night. I've never had the paralysis, but that would scare the shit outta' me.

Dammit, this crap happened to me last night and I couldn't even open one eye for a while. El Ferreira is somehow to blame. Or Satan. There is no scientific explanation.

Damned if I can ever remember my dreams, but I totally had that sleep paralysis crap. AFAIK, I don't get it all the time or even within memory. The demons must know that I'm on to them.

it has happened to me occasionally. i had a sleep study a year or so ago. they told me that while one is supposed to be paralyzed while in REM sleep, i am moving.

That's pretty crazy, the body can be in REM sleep but you can be conscious enough to know you are in it? I've never had the demons or the paralysis, but it is an interesting topic.

Happens quite often to me, it is terrifying. I think the easiest way to explain this is Matrix one when Keanu Reeves character the agents do something to him and he can't scream or anything. That's exactly how it feels.
