At least it's missing the magazine, so he can't shoot someone by accident.
Perhaps he brought it along to take pot shots at sharks that were trying to steal his fish?

If I were going to be shooting sharks, I'd want something a good deal for potent than a .45 ACP. I've always understood that they were very tenacious of life and hard to kill.At least it's missing the magazine, so he can't shoot someone by accident.

This is the coolest ‘new’ handgun release in a decade, IMO.
The American arm of the venerable Belgian arms maker has done a really good job of taking a classic, vintage pistol and modernizing it without ruining it:

The legendary pistol that fought on both sides of WWII is back from the dead — and looking better than ever
Hi-Power, meet the High Power.taskandpurpose.com
It was the first handgun I ever shot and my primary weapon for my first year in the army (before we got the new short barrel AUGs). I’m used to operating them left handed now and don’t want to change, but a thumb mag release might have been nice to start on. It’s still my favorite pistol to shoot, but they needed a lot of tinkering with first, to overcome some design flaws.A Hi-Power was the first auto pistol I ever owned. I've still got it, somewhat customized. I don't like the Hi-Power as much as the 1911 for various reasons. I see the new one has ambidextrous slide release levers. I never could see the point of these, since the slide release is just as easily operated by the trigger finger as by the thumb, maybe more so.
Straight out of the box, these new FNs have the makings of a great pistol. And what a breath of fresh air to see all that steel and wood in a vintage rather than yet another plastic fantastic with a ‘Grip Zone’!
you should get him to make you a leather jacket next.View attachment 45347
A guy in my club just started making these resin-micarta grips using old denim. I asked if he could include the selvedge line but that might be difficult.
That’s very unamerican of you.have a kid at home. gonna keep it locked
Gucci AR builds, SBRs and custom-tuned euro pistols are next. Say goodbye to your kid’s college fund now.Looking at an Sig M400 already. This is a hobby that I did not expect to get into.
CZ make a quality product. Once you are familiar with it, you might want to check with Cajun Gun Works to see what tuning mods they offer.View attachment 46032
Initial thoughts:
Shoots well
compact
No issues so far with full metal jacket or hollow point
Biggest con: grip length is a bit short. Mag release button could be located higher.
That’s for the parent teacher night I’m guessing.
Going to get a Vortex Strike Eagle scope next.
That’s a very good mid-tier piece of glass. Since you are dropping a lot of money on this, have you thought about investing a little more to get a really good optic like the Leopold 1-6? The low light clarity is worth it, imo. Especially if you are after deer.
