I don't think it is disagreeable but I think it is fucking boring.

Posting some boring looks seems like a reasonable idea. Yes, many men apparently use the left side of their brain (reptillian brained) more than the creative people who are said to use the right side more (creative people), so it is not surprising that many igents and white collar people do either dress boring or totally mess up colour combining. Foo was always a great example, very left brained and no apparent creativity. Most igents mess upcolour combining on the forums too...likely due to being left brained thinkers.....probably accountants and bankers and lawyers (more detail orientated people).

Agreed. Fok is boring. Most of SF seems lacking any interesting color combos. Most seem very tame.

Wasn't Manton the big advocate of boring fits? I quite like myself the tone on tone looks, can I be considered boring?

It isn't bad. It's good. But dull. I guess the texture gives it enough interest? But most any other color tie would have made it better.

Very few know how to combine colours successfully. It's an artform very few men have.

That outfit above is embarrassingly boring. I'd feel too much of a wallflower wearing that in public. I hope the personality is more interesting than the suit. I am sure these men in deadpan outfits would have personality, it is just that their sense of style majorly sucks. Even the way men wear pocketsquares seems very telling to me...the man above seems clueless. The P.S can go a long way if it is done right, but this guy above is just pure boring.

One look l now think looks bad is men in dark suits where tan/bandaid colour shoes. I used to like the look, but now it just looks odd.

Another look l have grown tired of is the heavily pre-antiqued shoes worn with grey/navy/black pants. They might look good with light coloured pants, but not most colours.

I think that sort of look is what started my interest in 'classic menswear' now I can't stand it.

will make a grey on grey tomorrow
also
you emereken should write GRAY?

Can you mix a mixed brown/grey or green/grey in over your light grey tomorrow?

Or blue/grey if that's all you have?

The man is in a suit and whilst he is indeed taking pictures of himself and uploading them to the internet, you'd presume, being dressed thus, he's on his way to work. If that is the case, then is it not better to err on the side of "boring" rather than try to "express one's personality" and come off looking like a right proper twat? In trying the latter, I think too many blokes end up sticking out like a sore thumb. I think in the context of working in an office, it'd be much better to be solid if unspectacular rather than known for some shtick to do with how you're dressed.

A rust coloured, 3 patch pocket jacket is boring? The tie seems to have enough texture to it to give it some visual interest. Don't go the shirt much, and the buttoning point seems to be rather high, but to label it as boring seems a bit harsh.

Do the krazy klowns at the Pitti parley for peakockery and perniciousness get you hard, Arny? If so, then perhaps I can understand your objections to the above picture. If they don't, then perhaps winding your neck in a few notches might not go astray.

What I find boring about it is that it comes off as flat. It could be as simple as my monitor shows colours differently. It looks kind' of blah to me. The texture of the tie is nice, I agree there!

The most exciting thing about this photo is his iGent pose and the tie penis.

Chorn should really quit wearing blue, earthy colors always look better on him.

Anyone know who the jacket maker is and the cloth?
