The Vegas casino hotels don't allow firearms for obvious reasons.

True, the have policies:

Nevada is an open-carry state, meaning residents are allowed to carry firearms openly in public. It is legal to carry a gun into a bar, restaurant, or casino – even while consuming alcohol. Many casinos have “no gun” policies, but these do not carry the weight of law.

It is illegal to openly carry weapons into a government building, airport, school, or childcare facility.

I'm just telling you as someone who used to work in Vegas, they aren't letting you in the main floor with AR's unless you are part of a gun gathering (which do happen, usually industry related). Now you could come in the garage or something pretty easy, but still have to cover them. Also, certain casinos have hidden sensors in entrance halls and various places throughout the building to detect stuff as well. No idea if Mandalay does.

^Well, I went to many SHOT Shows (the gun gathering of all gun gatherings) in Vegas, but I never, ever saw anyone openly displaying a firearm on the main floor of any of the casinos where I stayed. Admittedly, I haven't been to one of those events in over seven years, so maybe things have changed, but I doubt it.

I stand corrected.

However he did it he did not arouse suspicion. He was there for several days prior and could have brought in a couple of pieces of luggage per day.

I guess the Mandalay did not have sensitive detection devices or they were not working.

I would say they didn't, or he brought them in so slowly over the course of a few days he didn't arouse suspicion and/or took advantage of the fact the same security guy probably never saw him twice because of shift changes. Just a wild ass guess though.

Well, my experience was from the early 2000s. Maybe they didn't even let them in then, but I swear they did. I'm not talking about the casino floor level, I think I phrased that wrong, there's no way in hell guns are going there, but the hotel writ large.

I was a craps/blackjack dealer back then on the side, just to give everyone a frame of reference.

Just read a report that he had 10 suitcases in the room.

He had also installed cameras in the suite and in the hallway.

Fucker planned everything.

A lot of the rifles were purchased recently, many in June.

I thought the whole idea of Guns For All and open carry was to enable "citizens" to defend themselves against the "bad" people.

Every time theres a school massacre we see calls for teachers (& students) to open carry as that will stop them.

You might imagine that (us) Country Music fans could be more inclined to carry a gun than say a Bach Music festival crowd.

We have a Country music Festival with 20,000 or so people in an open carry state.

How many of those 20,000 allowed to open carry managed to bring down this terrorist before he blew away nearly a 100 people and then himself.

One cannot help but wonder if this fucker had yelled Allahu Akbar before he shot himself - just what the response might have been.

The utter devastation of his country of origin. Unless it is Saudi Arabia, of course. In which case, it seems to be OK.

ISIS were keen to claim this nutter, which shows exactly where their head is at.

I see what appears to be a distant Filipino girlfriend as well. Nothing like getting into sending money to a distant p/t girlfriend in the developing world to completely addle the brain.

BBC report from Vegas filmed outside a 'gun and strip' club and also a hoarding stating 'fire a real machine gun'.

Is there a final verdict now on who ended his life? Police or he himself?
However, with that kind of skills he would have made a perfect agent for whatever shady secret agency.
No Russian connection found?

1. Lone gunman. Motive unclear.

2. Fourth floor shooters.

3. Accomplice escaped.

4. Patsy who was assassinated.

5. Gladio false flag event.

6. ISIS recruit.

Take your pick

Turns out his father was a bank robber. Then there he was a successful professional degenerate gambler spin.

I wager he had issues reinforced with spunking all his money on Filipino girlfriend(s), rampant bitterness, lost all his money in the casino and wanted ultimate revenge. But I am intrigued.

You can discount 2 - 6, number 1 at this stage.

The dream has happened. Some fucking maniac took a gun into church and shot the place up, killing 20. In Texas no less. God gives with both hands

I certainly hope no one in USA politicises this latest church shooting as opportunity to talk about guns etc

Not in churches or bars though. You know, the places where you need protection the most.

We can’t carry in churches or bars, regardless of license. The shooter is supposed to be dishonourably discharged from the Air Force, so couldn’t buy, own or posses a firearm.

Leitmotif believes it is fake flag attacks sponsored by government. Russians always catch someone alive. why not in America? yikes

My favourite story - alleged to be true - is that Bin Laden spent his final years - on the internet - counteracting 9/11 "insider" "truther" videos in the comments sections.
