Trump starting a fight with John McCain's ghost is pretty funny. Something has obviously got him more rattled and unstable than usual. Also funny seeing Lindsay Graham add another flip to his flop, criticizing Trump again and supporting his old friend.

Strange I haven't seen any conspiracy theories about Utrecht yet. Hope the bare chested leather jacket dude will come to the rescue. This is so obviously fishy, it's laughable.

Wrong thread. Please don't capitalise on terror for feeble political gains, its beneath gentleman, but perhaps not one who chooses a backside as an avatar.

Use actual web links please
Here you go:

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/03/25/mueller-report-democrats-226168?cid=apn

"By not alleging any illegal collusion, Mueller has liberated Democrats from chasing the impeachment unicorn, which was always a political loser and a substantive dead end. If the Democratic House ever impeached, the Republican Senate was never going to convict, and may not have even held a trial. Impeachment had appeal only to the Democratic base, while doing little for the voters in swing areas who just delivered Democrats the House majority and hold the key to retaking the White House."

More likely they'll double down and not miss an opportunity to grandstand to their Hollyweird Twitterati class and not lose any traction in setting up the next investigation! Impeach the MF indeed!

It feels good when all the videos of Styx, Lionel, Watson et al, were dismissed as the ravings of mean mad white men when they've been spot on all along.

You know, some of us, can tell the winning horses at the starting gate!

So she scares you?
She's a demagogue and potential H bomb alright, but behind the Dunning-Kruger effect there's nothing there, nada, zilch, less than zero. What great legislature will she inititiate, not the tick list of the Green New Deal, I mean real statutes will she get into law? I'll tell you at the starting gate, none.

Have you listened to her when she goes off script? All fire and fury signifying nothing.

Interesting, several wise and good MP's in the UK Labour Party also shared a similar view of a broad party and proposed Jeremy Corbyn be on the ballot of Leader of the Party, not that he would win. At least one of those MP's is now deselected by the Maoist, Troskyite, anti-semites and Communists who now own the Labour Party on the entryism of Corbyn as Leader.

She's been in Congress all of two-and-a-half months and she's young and idealistic. She's all of 29 years old, I think.

Give her some time to get some political experience - sit on some committees, negotiate with others, learn that she must compromise to succeed, and see how things work.

Im hoping he doesnt take over and get blamed when this brexit mess May leaves behind invariably falls apart. Im starting to think the torries are just fucking this up as badly as possible so they can hand him a plate of shit
More likely decades of cannibalism and infighting has depleted the Tory bench, and the remaining successors are only capable of sniping at one another whilst at the same time showing their ineptitude at leading the country. Gone are the days where the Conservatives were the natural governing party with brief interludes of Labour.

You could easily say the same thing about the world's remaining communists - China, Cuba, North Korea...
no, no we really couldn't. first off, china is only communist in name. they really have no wealth distribution amongst the masses. north korea is more like a god-state than anything else. cuba is the ideal without the getting fucked by the US part.

As a single, one party communist authoritarian state where all other political parties are banned and power concentrated to Castro family members, it's certainly close to the ideal.
that's actually not the way its run at all. this isn't the mafia. you're watching too many movies.

https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opini...llennials-not-what-she-does-behind-ncna989046

In March, Ocasio-Cortez graced the cover of Time magazine, the subject of a massive profile. She has truly become a cultural sensation, and there are many lessons that can be taken from her skyrocketing success. Part of this influence has to do with her mastery of the “extremely online” lifestyle, but her Twitter clapbacks and retweet retorts are not the elements that should be emulated. Instead, it’s what the 29-year-old does IRL that makes her an excellent role model for her fellow millennials. She is not simply talking the digital talk — she is walking the walk, grinding out real policy solutions in Congress.”

Too bad she can't master history. She said the Rep amended the constitution to get FDR out of office. Of course he had been dead two years when term limits were instituted but who's counting.

who gives a fuck? guess we shouldn't fight so that everything doesn't end up under water or on fire because some girl in congress got her dates wrong.

I just posted this because she seems to be a lightning rod for discourse. At 29 she was born around the George H Walker administration and is now trying to cite events about FDR. I doubt many boomers would do better citing anything before Woodrow Wilson.

Turkey local elections: Setback for Erdogan in big cities

"More than 57 million people in the country were registered to vote for mayors and councillors. Turnout was high at just under 85%.

The opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) candidate Mansur Yavas won in Ankara, officials said. With almost all votes counted, he was on nearly 51% and the AKP's Mehmet Ozhaseki had won the support of just over 47%.

Istanbul has been in the hands of parties linked to Mr Erdogan since 1994 when he was elected the city's mayor.

The election commission said the CHP's Ekrem Imamoglu was leading there by less than 0.5%, but that the results of more than 80 ballot boxes were being challenged.

Both CHP and Mr Erdogan's AKP - or Justice and Development Party - claim victory in the city.

The AKP had been saying its candidate, former Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, was ahead by 4,000 votes.

The CHP also said it had held Izmir, Turkey's third largest city."

If only Erdogan realized political support is really all about money for food, shelter and getting your kids through school.
