^I thought I read that Buttigieg had pulled out of the race?

Or was that another candidate?

"The moderate mayor supported by 25 percent of respondents was followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts with 16 percent; former Vice President Joe Biden, 15 percent; Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, 15 percent; and Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, 6 percent."

Blimey, Biden is tied for 3rd with Sanders now.
The establishment are finally coming to terms with the fact that Biden isn’t happening and now it looks like they’ve found their new Republican-lite.

There are that many early contests? I thought Iowa, New Hampshire and one or two more dictate the course of the primaries.

^Not really saying anything new about her campaign, as the lack of any real focus or direction has been plain for quite some time. I suppose it's different in that it's coming from a (former) staffer, rather than from political commentators.

She can claim she has colour.

I don't think anyone can unreservedly support Labour when they are trailing in the polls with Corbyn at the helm even though the Tories made the whole Brexit mess with Cameron and has with repeated elections and leaders continued to disappoint.

Fortunately, you never experienced the nationalized British Rail.

If you knew anything about Corbyn, you wouldn't be promoting him. You'd be incredulous that such a low witted buffoon could have been in the mother of all Parliaments for so long, and horrified such a feeble intellect could be leader of the opposition.

Indeed, the Tories in May created the mess, but Labour is not the answer. The Conservatives got the Brits into it and it is their duty to restore honour to get us out away from the rapidly failing EU.

Mr. Smith voted Leave. He would never support a party that wants to Remain. Besides he has already given up NHS. Whether it is farmed out to Romanians, Asians, or Americans he has access and will encourage his relations to use private health care.

Blimey - you do know you live near the nexus of this rapidly failing EU. Brussels.

You know nothing of the NHS or the extremely snobbish elite management class, nor how the surgeons and specialists run private clinics and play the game very well to push patients to go private to beat waiting lists. It's a racket and hence the cancer survival rates and other treatments rank very poorly against Western European countries that have insurance systems e.g. France, Netherlands, Germany, et al. The sad state of affairs is that all political parties have put the NHS on a pedestal where the only reform or innovation is to throw more money at it, where it is immediately snorted up by fat cat managers and their cronies.

Many men have sold their souls for vast kingdoms and wealth, but Corbyn sold his soul to fraternise with terrorists who thought that much of him not one of them mentions him as being any kind of player in the peace process, despite Corbyn's boast and of course his gig on Iranian television. The pathetic soiled existence and reputation of an ageing communist tramp. In the words of Del Boy: What a plonker!

well there's something we have in common - the quick death of all middle management and the entirety of the PMC in the medical field.

And we will seek them out behind the rocks and the liars they hide in.

Corbyn, is at the very least an enable of it. The hard-left of his party are shot through with anti-Semitism. There are countless examples of it, too numerous to mention. His party is being investigated by the EHRC for gods sake.

I see that Buckers has already posted the clip where he (Corbyn) accuses the BBC of bias for saying Israel has the right to exist. Seriously?

again, i'm not the ground there, but i have seen absolutely no evidence of this or any other antisemitism from these people. i'm sure something has happened somewhere at some point. but we're exactly talking about them being rife with nazi sympathizers here.

I have a lot of admiration for Israel, particularly for its long-running publicity campaign to intimately intertwine the concept of Israel and Jewishness, such that any criticism of Israel is also criticism of Jews, and is thus anti-Semitism.

A lot - not all, but the vast amount - of criticism levelled at Corbyn and members of the Labour Party is because they are critical of Israel or, alternatively, supportive of Palestinians.

Some people criticise Israel because they *are* anti-Semitic and they want to criticise Jews. However, it is entirely possible to not be anti-Semitic in any way, shape of form and yet to criticise Israel's conduct concerning it's behaviour towards Palestinians, the building of settlements in the occupied territories and so on.

If you criticise the actions of most other countries, most people will understand that you are not criticising the *people* of that country, nor the beliefs and cultural identity of the people of that country, but that you are instead criticising the actions of the government (and perhaps the armed forces of that country). Criticise Israel, though, and you must fight off accusations of anti-Semitism.

It's a very good way of shutting down debate on any issue involving Israel - and yet it's very popular amongst conservatives. At the same time, though, conservatives lambast those on the other side of politics for "identity politics" and for attempting to stifle free speech...

Of course, there are exceptionally good reasons to be wary of anti-Semitism, and of a resurgence in anti-Semitism.

However, it's nonetheless interesting that you can criticise the actions of Islamic countries and virtually no-one will blink an eye, nor will you be accused of being "anti-Muslim", but criticise Israel and suddenly you've opened yourself up to accusations of anti-Semitism.

It's also interesting that one of the "anti-Semitic" actions that Corbyn is accused of is laying a wreath at some sort of Palestinian memorial for a couple of the Black September terrorists who killed Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Bad taste by Corbyn, perhaps. Offensive to Israelis, perhaps. But anti-Semitic?

Yet no-one would have protested if Corbyn visited Israel and laid a wreath at the grave of former Israeli PM Yitzhak Shamir, as he's regarded as a hero and a statesman - and yet Shamir was the leader of Lehi (also known as the Stern gang), a group of Zionist terrorists that (believe it or not!) sought an alliance with Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany prior to WWII and was responsible for many attacks on the British in Palestine, including the assassination of Lord Moyne, the British Minister Resident in the Middle East.

Corbyn's party's anti-Semitism is a manifestation of the the anti-Semitism of the Left. Neo-nazism is a manifestation of the anti-Semitism of the Right.

What would you describe it as, the actions of a bigot or Magic Grandpa bringing both sides together like he did in Northern Ireland?

Corbyn's party's anti-Semitism is a manifestation of the the anti-Semitism of the Left. Neo-nazism is a manifestation of the anti-Semitism of the Right.
The international Left: those who embrace conspiracy theories that there's a jew behind, controlling and manipulating every disaster and event.

After the election these clowns need to be pushed out of polite society, the public purse and shamed and humiliated.

What anti-semitism is there on the "left"?

Same question but for "international" left?

In my experience, having spent quite a bit of time discussing and investigating conspiracy theories as I have a couple of friends who have disappeared far, far down the rabbit hole, it's people on the right, or a particular brand of libertarian, that embrace the conspiracy theories about Jews, George Soros, the Rothschilds and so on.
