Mark your calendars when Genocide Joe and Bibi the Butcher decided to plunge the world into chaos.

Biden told Netanyahu US will not participate in offensive operations against Iran, US official says

Iran threw a lot of resources into this attack, but it looks like a failure so far.

- Iran attacked Israel for the first time from its territory, firing ~300 air targets: 185 drones and 146 missiles.
- The attack lasted about 5 hours.
- Some air targets were also launched from proxies in Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
- Israel, Jordan, the US and the UK intercepted a lot of the missiles and drones before they entered Israeli airspace.
-France provided airborne radar support, Saudi Arabia also provided tracking and targeting support
-Others were knocked out by ground-based air defense.

Latest update on Iran attack on Israel:

— IDF says it intercepted “99% of about 300 projectiles fired by Iran”.
- 170 UAVs, all shot down outside Israel.
- 30 cruise missiles, not a single one penetrated Israeli airspace. 25 were shot down.
- 120 ballistic missiles were fired. Some penetrated IDF air defence, hitting Nevatim Airbase. Minor damage of infrastructure admitted by IDF.
— Israel’s and Jordan’s airspace has been reopened.
— The US House of Representatives will meet in an emergency meeting to discuss the unscheduled supply of weapons to Israel.
— Biden told Netanyahu US will not participate in offensive operations against Iran.
— US forces intercepted more than 70 kamikaze UAVs and at least three ballistic missiles during Iran's attack on Israel.
— Iranian attack lasted for about 5 hours.

“We were able to penetrate the layers of the Zionist defense systems and its American and French allies. The operation was more successful than expected.”

Even John Bolton was on CNN saying it was a complete failure by the Israelis.

He said that Iran’s attack was a ‘massive failure’ in deterrence and diplomacy. I don’t think anyone outside of Tehran is trying to spin this as a successful military operation.

Bolton sounding very hawkish on retaliation for Iran’s failed attack:

However, all of this is still a win for Iran if it indirectly helps their proxies in Gaza.

well he's been trying to go to war with iran for 30 years now so not a surprise.

OH NO HE DIDN'T

Watch the video. That’s literally what he says: “A massive failure in deterrence”.

Bolton believes Iran would never have launched this (failed) attack if they had been more scared of a nuclear or overwhelming retaliation. He’s not exactly subtle.

Yes and then he actually says "by the israeli's and america." What are we arguing about here?

Bolton referred to the attack as US and Israeli failing to deter Iran from launching the attack - which militarily speaking didn’t accomplish anything other than wounding a 9year bedouin girl.

Concretely, Biden said “don’t” to Iran, but then also told Bibi support wasn’t unconditional, so Iran took that as an opening and went ahead with it. This is the general argument that Bolton, Pompeo and all the other hawks are using against Biden.

Even John Bolton was on CNN saying it was a complete failure by the Israelis.

You seem to imply here that the actual attack was a success - or rather that Israel’s defense was a failure.

Shahed-136 drones, seemingly the main UAV used, are estimated to be around $20,000 per unit to produce domestically, but some estimates range from 10,000-50,000. Ballisitic missile costs seem to range anywhere from 150,000-300,000+. Cruise missile costs traditionally can range from between 1 million-6 million depending on the country and missile specifications. However, considering Iran's production costs for other weapons are usually lower, a range of 500,000-3 million seems fair.

A very rough estimate for the cost of Iran's attack, just of production cost of drones and missiles not accounting for logistical costs, based on those ranges would be $34.7 million to $134.5 million.

The world largest ever combined drone, ballistic and cruise missile assault against another nation was just theatre? That’s a stretch, though it’s true I guess that Iran tried to contain the fallout of their attack by telegraphing their assault to the allies.

The second point is ridiculous. The drones were all shot down by Jordanian, American and Brit fighter jets. Half of the 120 ballistic missiles failed to launch or crashed. I think one missile was reportedly downed by a Patriot battery in Iraq. A handful made it into Israeli airspace and were knocked out by missile defense and Iron Dome. What secret technology or locations were revealed? Or was it the revelation that the Arab world came to Israel’s defence?

Telegram is lighting up with stories of Israeli aircraft carrying out airstrike operations inside of Iran, which comes amid reports of explosions in Isfahan.

Exact target remains unknown, but is suspected to be an Iranian nuclear facility.

US confirmed that they hit an airbase (unclear if it’s the one with F14s or the drone factory). Meanwhile Iranian state media is denying that any attack ever took place - which may be their out for any retaliatory escalation.

This is crazy!! Seems like war is coming.

Any of you mofos have space for a bunker?

I have some room in my Dungeon of Disease 😈

US State Dept calling it a ‘de-escalatory strike’. Some reports say it was Mossad not the IDF, as if this is less aggressive. The damage may have been to some old Russian S300 air defence batteries, to sent the message ‘we can stroke at the heart of your nuclear programme next door’. Meanwhile the Iranians are doing their best to downplay it all, now claiming to have shot down a few UFOs that originated from within the country.

All a bit of a nothing burger, so far.

Back to the proxy wars.

Hostilities have been officially scheduled

the UK just released a NOTAM for a big chunk of airspace from Iran to Israel. This might be it.

I won’t start a new thread for Hezbollah yet - maybe we can lump some of the Iranian proxies together here. Anyway, this was some major Tom Clancy shit. Phones and pagers ringing right before detonating in the hands of the whole organization. Fingerprint readers programmed to explode when certain people activated them. Thousands of these devices all going off at once.

It is scary, but I still laugh when I picture all these dudes answering a ring almost simultaneously and then boom

Q: what do Mossad and your mom have in common?
A: they are both blowing up my phone

More israeli terrorism today blowing up walkie talkies.

Yeah, all those poor Hezbollah orcs, now they have no fingers/eyes/balls to continue firing rockets at Israel (about 6000 since Oct 8th).

Is orc some new form of dehumanizing these people that you’ve come up with?

Ukrainians have been using the term for Russian soldiers for about a decade. It’s not really new, though I haven’t heard it applied to middle eastern combatants before.

"These people" dont need me to be dehumanized. They did it to themselves when they signed up to kill jews in the name of Allah and the Ayatollahs.
By that measure it is kinda hard to humanize Israelis

I fully agree, dead or alive, the bad image stays. Why not embrace it, instead of the constant wincing and whining?
