I've never heard of this, but the concept is pretty obvious. Join in.

Ed P As a Republican who works in the tech industry I can say that this statement shows you either have no idea what you are talking about or you are bought and paid for by the American Cable monopoly. This is amazingly an stupid statement and is disheartening.
Keith F Ted, I am as conservative as they come…. I want government out of just about everything… and I hate to say it, really hate to say it, but Obama is right on this one. I do not want my access and internet speed controlled by my ISP. It will be. The internet has been an open forum with little to no restrictions, that will change and not for the better. Bottom line, do not go against freedom of the net just because Obama is for it. Even an old blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.
Joey C As a Republican whom also works in IT like Ed… You have no clue what you are talking about or you are company bought and paid for.
A Jinnie M Goddammit, stop making my party look like morons and look up net neutrality. It doesn’t mean what you and your speechwriters think it means.
Marvin E Ted Cruz, as a tech and fiscal conservative in Texas who generally votes Republican, I am incredibly disappointed by your completely inaccurate statement. Please read up on what Net Neutrality actually is and fire any staff you have who are advising you on technical matters.
Sam A Senator Cruz, you are wrong on this one. As a conservative voter and IT professional, I can assure you that Net Neutrality is a GOOD THING. Internet providers (who are also content owners) can’t be trusted (as has already been proven) to allow consumers equal access to content from their competitors. This is why the government needs to ensure Net Neutrality as it protects the consumer from the bias of their Internet provider. This is especially true since we don’t have real competition in this space.
1. I'm not sure this is really Streisand effect, as there is no suppression effort.
2. I thought Cruz was not native-born and thus ineligible for the Presidency. Yup, born in Canadia.

Hope so.is Ted Cruz too stupid to get any serious play/support for president?
Disputed eligibility for President.dual citizenship. he renounced his motherland of birth. he is an A-OK American.
...and his father was a hamster and his mother smelled of elderberry.
Reason tried to champion a Draw Mohammad Day a few years ago. I'd like to see that come back.

A current example over in England has some uppity Parliament member that didn't like being labeled as a "Jewess" on Twitter getting a guy jailed. And now there is something called Operation Filthy Jew Bitch to annoy her and call her such.

I remember a school conversation over two decades ago over whether "Jew" was an insult and whether "Jewish person" was somehow better. Another goofy term, that I don't even know the legitimacy of, is Negress.I always thought "Jewess" was more archaic than defamatory, sort of like referring to a man of African ancestry as a "colored man" these days. I actually always thought the term "Jewess" packed a certain exotic and erotic allure, reminiscent of the beautiful Jewess Rowena in Ivanhoe. When I hear "Jewess," I think of big brown eyes, lustrous raven hair, sensuous lips and...yum!
Thus we witness actresses referring to themselves as "actors," at which I always wince.
This thread reminds me of an incident involving my mother at Alexandria Avenue School in Los Angeles, which I also attended some 22 years after she did.
To keep this in perspective, the following occurred sometime in the 1920s or very early '30s, in other words, well before the Holocaust. Anyway, she called a boy at the school a "big, fat Jew." Joel, his name was, complained to his parents, who in turn took the matter up with the principal, who was very fond of my mother. A meeting was arranged, where the following dialogue ensued.
Principal: Joel, you are Jewish, aren't you?
Joel: Well...yes.
Principal: And you are big and fat?
Joel (hesitantly): Yes
Principal: So where's the insult?
Case dismissed. These days, my mother probably would have been crucified in front of the school! However, I am sure it would never happen these days because I am all but certain there are no Jews in the school. Nor are there any Anglo gentiles, for that matter. I am sure Alexandria Avenue School is about 95% Latino.
People that try to squelch something, and inadvertently bring it more attention as a result of their efforts.Wait, what is this thread about?
Does that mean that by blaming and shaming fakers and degenerates (Mararo, Cerutti and alike) they become more popular?
It's ... the idea that there is no bad publicity.
Is that why this thread is named after Babs? That's exactly what they said when George Michael got busted for approaching a police officer in a public toilet.
It was all over the news and then he came out officially!

Cause you know, only ghey Pitti - peacocks like the music of Barbra Streisand.
