He’s honestly the most effective politician of my lifetime.
 
He cites the US's trade deal with the UK and Canada, saying the US pays Canada $200m - an example of "bad management", according to the president.

"I would love to see Canada be the 51st state," he adds, saying Canadians would receive better health coverage a massive tax cut and "a lot more trade" if they were part of the US.

I thought he said he prefers the governors to handle disasters in their region because they know the area.

Going to California he didn't invite Newsom and he said he's working with the 3 congressmen whose districts are affected.

Consistency isn't exactly his strong suit.

I thought Hegseth just greyed a week into the job when he was talking about the DC helicopter crash but then I realised I was just thinking of him back in his Fox days.
 
USA Aid is the only operational outfit that works on disease intervention in other countries. Once it’s gone, we will be fighting Ebola in the Midwest and not Congo.

USB ports support storage devices in the US government? Which decade am I in?

The last time financial services firms allow USB storage was during the Great Recession and movies like Margin Call where people tossed USB drives around to share information.

Since then not only are USB storage devices disabled in the operating system, employees are told not to purchase them or take souvenirs from conferences, and the companies order specific laptop models without USB ports and/or crudely glue them shut.
