There is no 'refreshing change' just like when Obama and those in his sphere intimated the ' back of the queue' nonsense. Ofc apologists on both sides will mount an admittedly tepid defence, it all means squat.

Some people will argue the same reason Trudeau became PM is because of his father.

That said nearly 3 years into the term I am surprised people are still shocked at her role. It's standard modus operandi by now like staying at Trump hotels and resorts whilst on official government business.

They really don't get how far they've drifted from mainstream opinion. The Daily Mail has been especially cringeworthy in its attempts to spin this into the anti-Boris and Brexit narrative. The more they spin, the more they expose themselves as paid for hacks.

I find it very odd that our Ambassador in Washington was using the language of CNN in his memos. Strange cat, have this current crop of civil servants and embassy staff no class or ever bothered to learn the craft of statesmanship?

The Daily Mail was the paper of middle England so you could gauge public mood from it. The Daily Express was very similar and somewhat better IMCO. The Telegraph represented the opinions of the establishment and The Thunderer/The Times was better for investigative journalism and The Sunday Times was once the benchmark of quality journalism and photo-journalism in the UK. The Times journalist, Andrew Norfolk, was the first MSM to break the grooming gang scandal. Now The Telegraph and The Times have disappeared behind paywalls, so who knows?

Then you had the press for titillation, celebrity gossip and shoddy journalese.

It seems to me that Trump doesn't like many things about the US - members of his own party, members of his own administration, the entire Democratic Party, a multitude of other people, virtually all media with the (general) exception of Fox News and many other things. Surely, by his own logic, he too should leave.

Of course, it's a ridiculous and facile argument. One can love something passionately, and yet not like all aspects of that thing. If no-one is allowed to criticise without being told "go away", then how can anything improve?

Trump's Twitter Blitzkreig/Kissinger strategy is going to deliver. He can keep those narcissist intersectionists centre stage and the Democrats have no option but to circle the wagons and defend. The weakest link is Omar, she's the rock the Democrats will likely perish on. At the decisive moment, forget that she may or may not have married her own brother to get him a Green Card, it will be her cosy relationship to Islamists that will be exposed and alienate decent America.

All Trump needs to do is keep these idiots centre stage and with their own lust for publicity, the job is as good as done. And they say Trump is a narcissist!

The MSM doesn't do the profession of journalism any favours either. I watched Trump speaking about Omar and the crowd were cheering and the journalists shrieking shrill hysterical questions when trying to counter Trump is an embarrassment. They will not beat or get Trump that way.

Free stuff is attractive, but if it's free you don't really appreciate it. It's a ticket that won't get you very far. Look at the cult of Corbyn in the UK, pretty much finished now and the toxicity exposed to all but the most zealous anti-semitic Marxist. But it is worthy of study the strange culture where very privileged individuals in the USA can self-identify as being victimized i.e. multi-millionaire professional footballers, film and television stars, those who have had scholarships to university on the strength of their soccer prowess. You wouldn't see any of that in most of Europe in contrast.

Ultimately, the message of The Squad is racist, toxic and won't gain traction enough to create the revolution they're dreaming of.

Trump's message was that I will Dirty Harry deliver you from the politics of the swamp and endless war, it resonated as it was ultimately positive. These idiots are delivering the message that you will be judged by your skin colour, race, ethnicity and where you are in the pyramid of victimhood. And dare any of the LGBT's step out of your group identity you will be punished and made a non-person. It's so unbelievably toxic and negative, only the legacy media and those with brain syphillis could think it was a winning platform.
