American media confirmed the destruction of at least 2 Patriot air defense missile launchers as a result of a Russian missile attack in the Krasnoarmeysk area.

According to statements in the American media, members of the crew almost certainly died.

Who exactly was in the destroyed complexes is not specified. It is likely that there could have been American soldiers there.

It is likely that the Russian Aerospace Forces A-50, which was repairing, was in a drone-damaged workshop in Taganrog.

It was more likely to hit the final assembly shop, and when hitting the roof of the building, the power of the drones would be enough to damage the equipment and the aircraft.

These are all assumptions of experts based on data from satellite images at different times.

"He will not give a penny in the Ukraine-Russia war. That is why the war will end,"

...and he confided this to me because I'm so important to the conflict. Even more so than Erdogan.

Lesson 101. Sometimes peace can only be restored with the help of tanks.

"President Volodymyr Zelensky said the latest wave of attacks showed that Western allies must give more military aid to Ukraine, including additional air defence systems."

"Mr Kudrytsky added that the worst affected area was Kharkiv, where 'Russia literally tried to destroy all the main energy facilities feeding the city'"

Military aid perhaps - but I'm not sure how air defence systems would help Kharkov. It's so close you can lob artillery.

500 people downloaded that after you posted it. It was in the low 120s last night.

Seriously, how bad is Russian military medical care?? While videos of Russian soldiers committing suicide after receiving injuries on the battlefield are incredibly common, today I saw a video of a wounded soldier slit his own fucking throat!

France buys more gas from Russia than any other EU country - Politico.

France increased purchases of Russian gas in the first quarter of 2024 more than other European countries. During this period, over 600 million euros worth of gas was imported.

The country's authorities claim that the agreement between the national energy company TotalEnergies and Moscow on the purchase of gas was concluded a long time ago "and it is difficult to get out of it".

“France is quietly increasing payments for gas from Russia, while President Emmanuel Macron loudly proclaims himself as one of Ukraine's most ardent defenders” the article reads.

Unfucked ATACMS to arrive in Ukraine within a week. More fried Russian Nazis on the way.

So the Belgian supplied F16s can’t be used in Russian territory but the Dutch ones can. As long as they aren’t firing US made weapons. Except if it’s in the bits of Russia near Karkov.

We love our nazi’s don’t we folks?

Considering that it’s now a national guard unit filled with the same conscripts as all the rest, it’s a fair call. Most of the old ideological leadership is dead or retired. Prokopenko Is a right wing prick, but no worse than you’d find in any other army and he is a brilliant commander.

BIG: Switzerland's Ministry of Defense recommended abandoning the neutrality that the country has maintained for 500 years, since 1515.

— A group of experts released a report recommending that Switzerland work on a "common defense capability" with the EU and NATO.
— The reconsideration is prompted by Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine and changing European security dynamics.
— There are concerns about how neutrality affects arms sales and national defense.
— Swiss arms exports fell by 27% in 2023 to less than 700 million Swiss francs.
— Current policy bans weapon sales to countries at war, affecting relationships with countries wanting to send arms to Ukraine.
— The report recommends lifting the re-export ban on weapons.

Recommendations:

— Increase military expenditure to 1% of GDP by 2030 (currently at 0.76%).
— Strengthen the Swiss arms industry through offset policies and access to EU and NATO armament programs.
— Deepen ties with NATO and the EU on joint training, missile defense, and exercises.
— Move towards "global defense," preparing the whole society for potential conflicts.

How the rise of the far right in Europe will affect aid and support for Ukraine:

"They are also angry at their commanders for not ordering the retreat earlier, because they argue it was obvious for some time that Ukrainian forces wouldn’t be able to hold the city for long."

"Where the Ukrainian army’s other Leopard 2 brigades—the 33rd and 155th Mechanized Brigades—operate older and more numerous Leopard 2A4 models and have received several batches of fresh tanks to replace battlefield losses, the 21st Mechanized Brigade with its newer tank models is unlikely to get fresh vehicles. The Swedish and German armies are struggling to sustain their own tank brigades; neither has signaled a willingness to part with any more of their better tanks."

Oops.

“Ukraine could win the war if it had an additional $50 billion per year, as well as a green light to bomb military targets inside Russia,”

New tactic. Ukraine and its allies will outspend Russia!

"Zelensky had been due to meet US President Joe Biden along with other Western allies in Berlin on Saturday, but Biden cancelled his trip because of the threat to the US from Hurricane Milton."

...uhh, what is that? Victory Plan presentation part 2?

Tag team presentation with Olaf Scholz?

"The next time she saw her home was a year later in February 2023, through the eyes of a Russian soldier, in bodycam footage posted on social media....Several other Ukrainian and Russian soldiers are known to have died in and around Sadova Street during the battle for Vuhledar.

'Thank God Oleksii survived. But the fact that people died in my house, it shocked me,' Marina says. 'There is only death in there.'"

Sounds like a total rebuild.

"Half a year after Oleksii’s rescue, his Russian captor was being lauded at home. He was no longer just referred to by his call sign, Fima, but by his first name, Andrei. State TV footage shows him re-enacting the Vuhledar assault and sharing his experiences with primary school children, where teachers present him as a hero."

The plan outlined by Zelensky consists of five key points:
  • Inviting Ukraine to join Nato
  • The strengthening of Ukrainian defence against Russian forces, including getting permission from allies to use their long-range weapons on Russian territory, and the continuation of Ukraine's military operations on Russian territory to avoid creation of the "buffer zones" in Ukraine
  • Containment of Russia via a non-nuclear strategic deterrent package deployed on Ukrainian soil
  • Joint protection by the US and the EU of Ukraine's critical natural resources and joint use of their economic potential
  • For the post-war period only: replacing some US troops stationed across Europe with Ukrainian troops
Effectively they want boots on the ground and buffer zones stationed on Russian soil beyond Ukrainian borders. I'm sure NATO allies like Turkey and Hungary will be clamouring to volunteer for this.

"Three 'addendums' remain secret and will only be shared with Ukraine's partners, Zelensky said."
