Not sure why it was compared with Blockbuster. The latter didn't have issues getting titles from studios want to keep the stream/rent money for themselves. The latter also didn't try to make its own content to compensate.

Meanwhile, my case is still up the road at the Hilton ordering take-out and complaining that we won’t let him fly home for another week. I’m the unlikely event that he becomes symptomatic, we need to send an HCID specialist team with a wrapped ambo to get him to Galveston and into the bio-containment unit. Ungrateful fucker.

More transmissible mainly through male to male penetrative sex.
Unlike the vagina, which is lined with a dense layer of protective epithlial cells that act as a barrier, to virus, the rectum only has a single column of these cells. Because rectal tissues are fragile, they are also prone to breakage, allowing the virus to slip past this thin layer. Because of this, viruses can establish an infection quickly.

Anal sex (regardless of genders of parties involved) will always be riskier for viral transmission in a range of circumstances.

We’ve also seen some transmission through fomites, so oral sex can’t be ruled out either.

I cannot overemphasis how much Musk and all the other California tech bros have fucked up South and Central Texas. Austin used to be a lot of fun before they all moved here.

Good to see that at least some effort is being made to save some of the earlier history and culture.

‘Older states’?

Silicon Valley relocated to Austin l a few years ago and brought the workforce. Totally changed the character of the town. Now they are heading to the Rio Grange Valley to bulldoze that culture as well.

Austin was a sleepy college town best known for the thriving music scene and laid-back cosmic cowboys (dope smoking’ hippies like Willie and Townes). The population has boomed so quickly, it doesn’t so much feel like Cali (which isn’t bad) as just being …. Anywheresville.

The RGV is is very Hispanic (and also very left-leaning), even if the state is so gerrymandered that this isn’t reflected at the Capitol. They are always upset that state school history textbooks do such a poor job of telling their story. As a result, they make a conscious effort to retain their heritage and identity while bringing in outside corps like Space X to improve employment.
