A smaller scale of this happened here too except they persisted driving around hitting the horn of their cars till much after midnight. Lots of Palestinian flags. Where do people buy them or do they have them stowed in their homes ready to participate in any protest? I guess I should be glad this isn't the Middle East where they fire guns into open air.

In 2006 there was a similar skirmish and Israel's 'defence' forces then occupied parts of Lebanon. If memory serves me correct there were a lot of protests amongst the diaspora, and diplomatic envoys talking to each other and on television,. No one sent a military force to stop Israel (the justified answer for Saddam taking over Kuwait) nor did anyone put sanctions in (the justified answer for Russia annexing Crimea). Most countries and politicians have given up because no one ever wins touching the Jewish/Arab profile. It's where you send Tony Blair to retire from politics.

I remember talking about it with a Jewish lady friend of mine and her attitude was resolute. No accommodation for Arabs. They can't control their sexual impulses so they grow rampant like weeds so please don't let them acquire more property or do anything that would support housing more of them.

However over here Israel have been discovered trying to nobble politicians unsympathetic to their cause. Alan Duncan - although he was a pompous, catty drama queen - was also pro-Palestinian. So Israel put someone on the case. Given that most of our politicians are greedy chancers on the make, it is mostly unnecessary for Israel to resort to this - money, or the prospect of it, usually works well enough.

Please stop uttering conspiracy theories. It is very anti-semitic. It is very justified that many US politicians as well as many German ones have claimed that either they would „die for Israel (only)“ or that the sole „reason to exist“ for these nations are „to defend Israel“.

There were a number of scuffles and arrests as one would expect. So not wholly without incident. And I see the bigoted, anti-Semite, Jeremy Corbyn was there ready to spew his particular brand of hate.

Why Hamas has torched the gains there were making over the last few years is intriguing. But ultimately if your aim is to wipe out the Jewish state and all the Jews therein, you must start delivering on that promise. The eviction case and alleged police brutality is no reason to launch rockets to indiscriminately kill and maim civilians, Jews and Arab-Israelis alike.

Consider yourself in Israel's position. You're under attack by thousands of missiles and the rational response will be to take out the attackers with such force as to make your enemy wish they hadn't started it. The use of human shields only confirms the wickedness of your enemy. And you know the enemy wants you and all your people dead or out of Israel. You're literally under constant threat for your very survival and existence as individuals and as a Jewish state.

Under such circumstances, you're certainly not going to just sit there and let them sock it to you. You're going to strike back with as much force as you can muster, within the rules of war as best you can. We didn't think much about that when we were strategically bombing Germany and fire storming Japan in WWII. You can't be a wuss or weakling about these things, you need Curtis LeMay and Bomber Harris types to defeat the enemy in war. And certainly, Israel is much less indiscriminate in its targeted retaliation strikes against Hamas.

All the well worn anti-Semitic tropes are already out in force, you know when some Leftard starts wittering on about Zionism within 2 minutes they'll be frothing at the mouth about Israeli ethnic cleansing, they never learnt anything from Holocaust as they practice genocide themselves, did you know there was no Jewish people killed in the twin towers on 9/11 as they all stayed home, etc, etc. It's the queers for Palestine I can't understand, in Gaza they would be in jail or conveniently Honour Killed, likely by their own families. There ain't no queers in Palestine.

Israel has a right to defend itself and wage war on those raining missiles against them. So the UN, parts of the MSM, the Left and the anti-Semites will just have to suck it up. Israel is well able to stand alone.

In reference to Gaza:

1. They have a right to democratic elections. Which they haven't had for nearly two full decades.

2. They have a right that their leaders will transfer military finances to Covid vaccines and prioritize health and welfare of their population
instead of the annihilation of Israel and Jews.

3. They have a right to be LGBTQ. Instead of 10 years in jail.

4. They have a right not to be killed in honour killings in unacceptable numbers for being raped or LGBTQ.

5. They have a right that their military leaders do not use ''crude'' to quote the BBC, missiles and rockets that in many cases don't cross the border and fall short, killing those in Gaza.

Is that good enough for starters?

You seem to be missing the point here. Let me explain it to you: Hamas is launching 1000's of missiles against Israel indiscriminately against civilians and Israeli defence forces are taking appropriate action in neutralising the threat. If your home town was subject to that type of barrage, I wager you would be a little bit agitated and looking for the threat to be neutralized?

This has nothing to do with military aid or those people you say are living in an open prison and yet, have built up a very impressive armoury of weaponry. Not knives and stuff, but rockets. Hardly the preserve of an open prison.
