Rambo's recent installation of the little member info on the main page finally lets us see lurkers, the non-posting members, beyond just who the latest sign-up is.
Who are you people? This nutty site is still so small and the inside jokes are rampant. How is anyone reading this and not pitching in with some sort of comment? Are we seriously that intimidating, or are we just clowns that others watch for amusement?

Every single member with zero posts that reads this, identify yourself and tell us how the hell you got here, why you stayed and even registered, and why you can't add anything to this melange of topical discussions and derailments. If I catch you reading this and not posting, you'll be in big trouble.

I beleive it is Leitmotif Leitmotif whonis scaring the lurkers. I dislike him more than I dislike Thruth Thruth

If IS is lurking here he should post. He has a unique style that many of you could learn something from.

I used to do that from time to time. Every once in a while one would reply but it was usually a "just looking" thing.

Anyway, I will start tagging you lurkers if at least one of you doesn't show their face here. You have 24 hours.
 
I'm thinking we need to start banning lurkers unless they reach a minimum of six posts within the first week of registration. Rambo could program this in ten minutes.
 
If you're a total newbs to the internet and clothes and being a jackass, is it so hard to put up a short post saying so? And then go back to lurking or forgetting about the place or whatever?
 
I lurk because I have little to add. I just enjoy reading the snark about all the cosplayers. What does a lurker have to do to see all the threads because I feel like I am missing out.

Why? Not everyone who registers wants to post. Most forums are full of lurkers. Some do it just to get access. Some do it to avoid notices about signing up.

I lowered it so that 3 posts gets you into DT. But it would be good if you contribute more than that.

Nothing much really. Visitors can view photos already. They can post in the chat. They can obviously reply to threads. They can get access to PM's and profiles. All the normal shit. The only forum that's walled off is DT.

Hey bischero bischero , surely you can offer more than Leitmotif Leitmotif . He can't speak English and only knows about womanly coloured polo shirts yet we value and treasure him.

Make a few more posts then you can read Dumb Threads.

My sneaking suspicion is that he reports back to Fok and then Fok bans those people that they can link.

You should raise it back up to 15 posts, think I needed 25 when I joined to see DT.

That hasn't stopped anyone else from posting!.
thruth and doghouse have almost as many posts as snitchy on SF and have managed t say less than snifflysnitchy and farto-napoli has posted thousands of words and despite having a dedicated dictionary and translation service no one still has any idea what he is saying.

There may be some truth to this. "John Lee Pettimore III" on SF was banned a little while after I started posting my displeasure with Stitch. I thought it was just a random sock cleanup, but that would be conditioned upon Fok doing regular maintenance to rid the forum of socks and spam, which is completely ridiculous.
