What Are You Wearing Today?

Baird McNutt linen shirt from my shirtmaker in Montreal.

The Strike Gold 6109 16.5 oz loom state heavier and more interesting than RRL raw denim.

MTO Dayton charcoal nubuck service boots.

was 99.9% sure they would be E.G, but thought l better ask anyway. I like them.

Interestingly enough, l have been getting more into E.G in recent months. They are very comfortable shoes, have great browns and have a really classic style. Was never into E.G that much (too boring), but lately I am enjoying them. Got them on today actually....thinking about getting another pair.

I am on and off with EG. Used to really like the 82 last but I have to up half a size now. But the 606 and 888 still work and I kinda dig the soft square amd soft chisel respectively.

I don't have the chisel toe E.Gs, but l am thinking of ordering a wholecut in dark oak brown. The 82 last is a nice one, but the 202 last is a bit odd...looks a bit like a banana last and has a high toe box...works well for a boot, but not the most elegant oxford last when viewed at numerous angels.

l have had to up half size for big Johnny Lobb, but l am still the same size for E.G (good old reliable E.G).

I liken the 82 to the Vass F but the 82 is a bit pigeon-toed and the F is wider in the toe box. I find the F narrower in the heel, which works for me. Both elongated lasts while I find the 202 squat and blobby. The 888 is based off the 82. The 606 is supposed to be the square toe version of the 202.
