Has anyone re dyed a shirt? I have a brand new shirt that has bleach stains. I can't decide on a hand or machine wash dye. Thankfully the shirt is a medium colour blue. I really like the texture.

Can't say that I have beyond doing tie dye as a teenager

I have only worn it twice. I shall play with a hand wash dye, if it fails I can wear it in bed...

I’ve died a few shirts. Only really works with basic reds, blacks and navy - other colours just aren’t right or fade to dodgy shades. Sulfur dies smell and need to be fixed with heat and salt. Not really worth the effort, but I have a few black shirts I’ll dunk next time the wife isn’t home to see.

I’d try soaking it in Napisan for 24 hours. Or using Sard Soap. I dunno what they are called where you are.

I am not having much luck at present. A black ink pen leaked in one of my favourite pairs of chinos pockets...

I have bought my dye and another four shirts in the Natté weave...
Good luck!

Most it is common sense - doing what you can to ensure the dye soaks in to every fibre of the garment. I do it in an old pot on the stove or a camper grill in the yard.

The biggest challenge is not dying your hands and the kitchen walls.
