I'm a woman but posting in this sub, since it seems like more of you guys shop on Yoox.
I wanted to buy a pair of pants on Yoox from a brand called "Rue du Bac." It was strange to have Italian sizing for a French name, so I looked up the brand. There is zero information online except for a non-working site that claims to sell only jewelry and Italian leather goods, ruedubac.it. Yet there are tons of clothes on Yoox, most look pretty basic like they could've come from a mall brand (I just wanted one particular style).
This brand has no physical presence on Google maps. I began to suspect Yoox carries its own outlet labels that pretend to be high-end designer, to justify the $200-300 original price down to $70 markdown, while making zara-level clothes and charging as much as they can justify.
Still not sure what to think about this, but wanted to put it out there as a caution.
