Breaking Bad - The Final Episodes

The only major mistake Walt has consistently made during this series is to keep Jesse alive. This is finally coming to roost as Pinkman has woke up and now after Walt. He should have been dead 10 incidents ago.
 
Can someone walk me through the ricin cigarette incident? I'm a little hazy on all the exact details.
 
It was a long time ago. All I remember is the kid Brock was poisoned, the ricin cig disappeared from Jesse's pack. Walt managed to convince him it was Gus that did it.

This show is, is is is.

Fucking hell. What now. What an episode. This show is ending so brilliantly, there are no words except dont fuck this beauty up, Gilligan.

That might be the greatest Sol line ever.
 
I'm a touch disappointed in the way that last scene was filmed.

First, Todd's boys got there too fast. Second, how many bullets did Hank and partner have? They shot about 95 by my count. And Walt totally exposed, how could he not get hit.

In general, too many bullets. The scene would have played much better with about 12 or 15 careful shots.

those details aside, i think Hank and Gomez bite the dust here. Walt is clearly on the run towards the end of the show as seen in the foreshadowing. if memory serves me correct, Hank hasn't told anyone at the DEA about Walt. Only Gomez knows. If they are taken out, that leaves the trail cold on Heisenberg other than Marie, who could blow the whistle. or Jesse, where he presumably escapes that mess somehow.

The problem is Walt doesn't know that. So ya, makes sense he has to run.

The more I think about it, the more the episode disappoints.

If this scene plays out, Marie has to be taken out as well. In that scene nobody notices Jesse. Slipping away would be a bit too fantastical and it looks like that will happen.

The setup with the money barrel was brilliant. The dialogue with Huell wasn't. I don't think he is that stupid. Also, Walt has been pretty fucking smart about GPS, you'd think he would check. I do like how they played his greed, but not sure about the execution of that scene.

Last complaint... if they knew they had Walt nailed this time, why not bring a few extra bodies to secure the area.

The biggest complaint is still that Todd's boys got there too fast.
 
Ok, so the phone call back to the house - do we think he knew that she wasn't alone? At first, it sounded to me like he was trying to incriminate her. Then it shifted to sounding like he was absolving her.
 
Better than good. It might have been the best episode of the whole series. Wow. I was drilled into my seat the whole time. Mother fucker, that was some intense shit.

So Jesse is a prisoner cook. 2nd time this show doesn't need Walt. Does Walt turn to the supremacists? I still can't believe Hank is dead.

Skyler is a dumbass. Why the hell did she agree to Marie's stupid fucking demand to tell Flynn? Come on.

Next week is the finally, right?
 
Last episode tonight, ever. Its a surreal feeling. All these years culminating to this.

Its all very well poised. My sense is that Walt frees Jesse and Jesse kills him. Walt doesn't know about Brock's mom.

I don't know what to make of the continued exploration of Todd's infatuation with Lydia.

Whatever they do, just no stupid shootouts like in the desert a few episodes ago. Its the only major fail of this series.
 
It ended correctly. It could have ended 11 ways, but this was one of the outcomes that made sense.

I'm sad. This was a journey that gave me immense satisfaction. I'm hard pressed to imaging this will be repeated this decade, that's how good this fucking show was.

Lydia, are you feeling feverish? Stevia? Ha ha... now that is how you circumcise a show properly.
 
I loved that too. Those people were scared as shit when they saw him.

The episode was very succinct. It didn't do any of the thematic explorations they've tried before, it just ended the story in a very direct and clear way. Walt is dead. Who gives a shit about Brock. Jesse made it out. You gotta assume the Schwartz's are going to create that trust fund. Skyler is in the clear. Goddam I wanted to see Saul make a cameo.
