Lucky bitch. Where did you go? Have fun? Any trannies?

Ha. No trannies.
Spent most of the time in Bangkok for this trip. I always have a great time in Thailand. Great weather...not even a hint of rain. Had a great time on Sunday at the weekend market hanging out at the bar listening to some great music and watching the people walk by and the chef making huge vats of paella!

I may actually be headed back on 3 weeks....

What's the attitude like over there with all the protests? People still friendly to tourists?

People are great and the tourists aren't affected(for the most part.) The protest locations have been consolidated to 1 main location. Basically, if you stay away from that area, you may not notice anything is going on in Bangkok. The Thai people love tourists and realize that it has nothing to do with them.

I was also there in Jan of this year when Bangkok Shutdown started(that Monday.) My hotel was a few blocks away from one of the main protest locations(Asok) and I went out there on the first day to see the turnout. It was something to see/experience. I spent about 7 hrs out there taking hundreds of pics and seeing young/old/male/female/etc Thais supporting this cause.

In the 7 years that I have been visiting Thailand, I have never had an issue(knock on wood) and have always had a great time.

You don't need to know Spanish to understand this... but can you guess who is "Curco Vein".

Hey I was there in January this year too. We flew to Phuket direct from Singapore though, didn't visit Bangkok at all this time. No probs down south, though a couple of the locals did talk about the protests and the politics, unsolicited, which I think is a first for me in Thailand.

Will try to translate: "If you already know how I get when I get drunk, why do you still invite me?" BUAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
